This is what I woke up to on IG. I'm all for protesting (not rioting); however at some point, a plan must be devised and implemented. This is crazy and sad. I have a little brother. I teach in a urban community. Their lives are no longer safe among each other or among those who took an oath to "protect and serve". The first amendment has limits. They will shoot you for telling the truth. There is nothing free about that or brave. Jussie Smollett brother of @jurneebell said something of great value "when will we be done repeating history"? My answer: when too many of their own die in the heat of battle. The question to all of us, including myself is, what are WE going to DO. Social media only carries so far. Super excited to support my boothang @ticia34 at the opening of a new #Mexican restaurant @villalabos_nj in #Montclair. I'm always ify about Mexican cuisine because it doesn't like me; however, I was delighted by the options for me as a #pescetarian as well as pleasantly surprised at how light and refreshing the food was on my tummy. A modern trendy spot with affordable plates and a not so complicated menu. I had sea scallops for an app (pictured top left) and Pescado (fish tacos pictured top right) for my entrée. The prickly pear mint agua fresca is delicious. If you're in the NJ/NY area check it out. My girl is the sous chef.
