Chronically Healed

"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, becuase fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made in perfect love." 1 John 4:18

The only way to healing is to keep moving forward.

I may be healed, but I'm not the same person I was before I got sick. I am someone better! I'm so grateful that God allowed me to live with a chronic illness for 10 years, or else I wouldn't be the person I am today! What the devil intended for evil, God used for good!

I fully believed that God would turn my life around completely. Healing took years, but I finally feel like I have a new life! I am so grateful for the difficult years of healing becuase now I know I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!

Imagine all the grains of sand on this beach. Imagine the number of all the grains of sand on all the beaches on earth. God says He thinks about how much He loves you more than there is grains of sand! How He loves us so!

Living through a chronic illness has given me something that most people don't have: a great deal of patience. There is so much waiting when it comes to a chronic illness! Waiting at the doctor's office, waiting for test results, waiting for treatments to start working, and waiting to get better! I've learned that if I'm frustratingly impatient, it doesn't make the results turn out any better. It just makes me more frustrated. Being calm and still during the waiting has made me a less anxious person. Becuase I had a chronic illness, I feel like I now have a super power of being super patient!

"Cast all your anxiety on Him becuase He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7

I would rather choose to know nothing, but be humble about it, rather than having knowledge and being arrogant about it.

If I live for myself, I just end up hating myself. I wake up with the idea that I have this day to do whatever I want. But it's never enough. I do not have this life all to myself just to enjoy it, but I'm alive becuase there are other people out there suffering. It's my soul's burden of desire to be there for people, to live for them and not for me. God has blessed me with life and now all I want is to bless others!

All of God's creation tells the same story, the story written across the universe. That story is love. Every brushstroke of the universe declares God's truth: you are loved.

Lord, I pray to be more encouraging to others. I pray that I can speak up and compliment others, to tell them that I love them and I value them, becuase You deeply love and value your children. Help me to speak truth and life. Thank You for blessing me so much, I want to pour out those blessings of hope and healing into others. I want to lift them up to the light as You restore them. I have this burden of desire to help people, that I feel is my calling. Thank you for fulfilling my prayer and for continuing to grow me! I pray this in Your Heavenly Name, Amen. Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed and burdened by my own thoughts. But that's ok becuase God is full of peace and joy, and He is with me always. He is more powerful than my troubles. I choose not to feed my negativity, but instead glorify and praise God becuase He is so good! (at Gila River Indian Community)

I will never be anyone's vision of perfect. But that's ok because God made whole and complete in Him. The best I can do is be secure in the unique way that God has made me, and follow Him out of deep love. No amount beauty, eloquence, or intelligence can be more impressive than that. I will not strive for someone's idea of perfect, I will strive for LOVE.
