Hey, I recently bought a graphics tablet and am planning to do some more solely digital art on adobe illustrator, I've only used illustrator before to scan I drawing in, and then use the image trace tool to alter the anchor points and etc, if you could give me any tips, suggestions etc if really appreciate it ☺️

Yay I love questions!

So I actually use photoshop for most of my art. To me, its closer to the experience of painting. I find that illustrator is better for design and vector illustrations. If you ARE going for more of a vector kind of style, then the pencil tool is your best friend - especially with that brand new tablet. I tend to stay away from image trace because it never really seems to work the way I want it to.

If you’re aiming for a more painterly, illustrative style then I definitely suggest you try out photoshop or its cheaper cousin SAI. You might get some really awesome results!
