âYouâre right; somehow the fries taste like cardboard without it,â she shifted as the waitress came to take their order, rattling off an addition of coke and a cheeseburger along with the fries, and turned her attention back to Chissy.  âIs that something people think about? Or is that just something you think about because you did it with you mom?â Chandler was closer to her mom, admittedly, but she definitely didnât think like that..  âGod, do I understand. My dad keeps hovering at the pharmacy even though Iâve told him that Iâve got it.â

I like to think about the future, and my kids, and stuff like that. It seems hopeful, doesnât it? To imagine a future where children pick fruit from trees?â She shrugged. âBetter than imagining the darkness of life.â She sipped her iced tea and laughed a little. âOne day theyâll have to let us have the reigns, at least.â
