Here's the "Prototype 001" for the ladies. I designed this for the Abstract Lifestyle Brand. Click the photo to check out the abstract page. Follow them!
Here's a close up of the first painting in 2013.......
The first day of the year gave me a great slice of life! I woke up in sunny San Clemente to the wonderful sound of children playing and the sweet scent of fresh brewed coffee. Being a celebratory person, I spiked my coffee with a hint of Cinnamon Tequila as I observed my good friend Johnny Monson whip up some fabulous Machaka's. I wittingly named them "The Shaka Machaka's." After the morning festivities I was able to spend most of the day painting at my studio. Being one with my craft is something that I am ever so grateful for. 2013 is the year I'm gaining full control over my life and focusing strictly on the things that make me happy. Today was a reminder of how beautiful life can be. Everything was rad today! I skateboarded with the children on the block and enjoyed a few cold ones as the sun went down! Feasted on my favorite comfort food, pasta and meat sauce and thats that! I thank the good life for the gift of art, family, friends, happiness, and success! The time is now to live...... And live happy I will!
Cheers!

I had a big party at my studio in early 2012 and instead of just recycling the beer cans as usual, I decided to turn them into a piece of art. I smashed them with my feet, a hammer, I even ran them over with my car. This work was the outcome of a good time!

This was the first painting I did under the instruction of Laguna Beach painter/sculptor Elaine Cohen. I produced this around mid November of 2011. At this time I was experimenting with new techniques of painting and was unsure of what worked and what didn't when it came to my work. As an artist, especially in the world of abstraction, it is very difficult to step outside of ones comfort zone. I remember being reluctant to experiencing new ways of expressing myself through my painting but that quickly changed once I began painting in the Elaine Cohen studio. It was with her help and support that I creatively broke through as an artist and most importantly as a person.
