THE FLYING URAYULI

So uh, it’s Skinwalker season, it has been for a bit now, they migrate through my state this time of year, and sometimes they get hungry and like to stop by, and uh, pick us off, y’know?

Honestly it’s not as bad as it sounds, as long as you prepare for the worst you should be perfectly safe.

So I have a cat, his name is Snubby for anyone wondering, and he’s an outside cat, he actually spends most of his time outside, but yesterday I heard him scratching at the door that leads outside, so I stood up, took my earbuds out and started walking to open the door, until I heard my cat snoring on the couch.

After a couple seconds of thinking I realized, “Oh wow there's a Skinwalker at my door.”

I didn’t panic or anything, I’ve actually been through this a couple times in my life before.

I grabbed my cat and my phone off the couch along with my earbuds and I walked as quietly as I could into my room.

I shut the door and did all the locks, four in total, I laid my cat on the bed and walked over to my closet where I pulled a 12-gauge shotgun out.

It was preloaded with buckshot so all I had to do was put a shell in the barrel.

I grabbed my laptop and laptop charger and brought it over to my bed.

My router and modem were inside my room so I was pretty much good in terms of entertainment.

I lied down with Snubby and started watching video essays on YouTube about strange, obscure subjects. Those videos always helped me keep my mind off things.

After a while, I was getting pretty tired, so I shut the laptop and pressed my ear against the door to my room, and could still faintly hear scratching at the living room door, but I felt pretty safe with my gun, so I decided to try to get some sleep.

It’s never a good idea to try and fight tired, right?

I grabbed a can of cat food and a bowl out of my closet for Snubby and pulled out a large jug of water for me. I took one last swig of water then laid down with Snubby to get some sleep.

After about six hours, Snubby started doing that weird pawing thing on my neck, you know the thing where they take their claws in and out? Yeah, that.

I was pretty upset at first, until I heard scratching at my door. It either got in through a window or broke down the living room door, but now it's scratching at my bedroom door, that's farther than any other Skinwalker has made it.

Thankfully my bedroom is the only room in the house with a metal door and no windows, believe me I would love to replace the living room door, I just don’t have the money right now for a steel door.

Either way, as a safety precaution, I haven’t slept in eighteen hours, It's not as bad as it sounds though, one time I got locked in my room for 74 hours, i’m not tired either, I keep a coffee machine in my room just for this reason, I’ve been brewing it with energy drinks instead of water so im good in terms of energy.

Me and Snubby have been surviving off of water and food I keep stocked in my closet just for this occasion, I got enough food, water, and energy drinks for another month.

I’ve been in here for 32 hours now, but it should be over soon. I called the police pretty early in Skinwalker season so I’m pretty high up on their list, though it gets pretty busy this time of year, so they can’t reach you for a couple days.

I’ve never actually had a Skinwalker break into my room before, so I’m not worried.

I haven't heard a scratch at the door for two hours now, but I don’t trust it.
