Unnamed Adoptive Parents (Most Likely Deceased), who took care of Sonic until he was a young boy. (Sonic Underground 1999)

Sonic has has one notable adopted sibling, Miles Tails Prower, who is like or is his brother in multiple canons. Going into specifics is a post on it's own, but he's considered his brother In the Shogakukan Manga (1992), Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (1993), Archie Sonic (1993-2017), Sonic IDW (2018- Present), and the Sonic Cinematic Universe (2020-Present).

In the Sonic Cinematic Universe, it's also hinted at that Knuckles will be considered an adopted older brother, but isn't confirmed.

Princess Elise (and by extension Sonic 2006 in general) can’t catch a break from these clickbaiting baffoons can she?

Her big crime for being #2 on the list? Bringing Sonic back to life with a kiss and getting kidnapped multiple times (wouldn’t that be classed as victim-blaming?).

- Had Elise had the same cartoony design as the anthros or even an anthro herself, her and Sonic’s relationship would still be pretty forced. Species have nothing to do with writing.

- Hell, if Elise had a cartoony design, then the kiss wouldn’t look so awkward anyways

- Elise had not abused or put Sonic down in any way

- Was never manipulative or displayed common traits of an abuser

- Loved Sonic for who he was, and didn’t try to change him (unlike Sonally at its worst)

- Wasn’t obsessive and tried to goad him into marrying her (unlike Amy at her worse)

- Really the only thing bad about her was that she was underdeveloped. Take her and the entire subplot surrounding her and the game would still have flaws, both in game play and story telling.

Sonic and Elise just grew feelings for each other during the story (a mutal romance) and then timeline reset happened before anything could happen with them (the most that did was the revival kiss).
