Wonderful news! My dear friend Fadel (@fadel-dani) was able to present his graduation project at his university and received his Bachelor's degree in Information Technology! Anyone who would like to congratulate and bless Fadel can do so by donating so that he can get medical treatment and study for his master's and doctorate in a safer place.
Fadel's project was about creating an integrated system for managing the water desalination plant in Gaza electronically. This is an incredibly important project, because Israel has systematically destroyed Gaza's water treatment infrastructure, blocked repairs in countless ways, and targeted workers. It is extremely brave to be working on this project. Please donate so that Fadel can one day lend his skill to rebuilding Gaza. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
While Fadel shared this happy news with friends, he was interrupted by Israeli helicopters bombing nearby. There were four strikes on Gaza City last night and at least ten people were martyred. As we text today, @fadel-dani is still in the hospital receiving treatment. To maintain hope in the future, he must survive the present. The hotel we had reservation in told us to check out and we asked why, but they're not giving us a reason. They aren't telling us why and they said because of something a year ago???? We don't know what that means so now we got to leave.
I told them I'm in treatment right now because I have respiratory issues, but they said they don't care and told us to leave.
I am not fit to move stuff and we are on the top floor too. I'm stressed and if I even try to move our stuff I will collapse and have another asthma attack. Israel's attacks have been relentless since the eve of Eid al-Adha on Tuesday, May 26. Just yesterday the head of anesthesia at Al-Yafa Medical Hospital was killed in an attack that injured three others. Over 50% of hospitals in Gaza are nonfunctional. Even when Palestinians survive attacks, treatment is limited and medical bills are expensive.
This targeting of healthcare workers and infrastructure is the reason my friend Fadel needs to raise funds for medical evacuation to a hospital outside of Gaza to surgically remove shrapnel that embedded in his body during the Israeli airstrike that destroyed his home while he was inside.
Fadel (@fadel-dani) is currently struggling to afford his hospital bills. He is being treated for severe anemia and malnutrition as a result of long term food insecurity and being unable to afford his monthly medication to treat his blood disorder. He suffers from frequent fainting and collapses unconscious, leaving his family terrified that he has died from starvation. Please help him.

yesterday i quit my job due to mistreatment from management. i was hoping to have a lot more time to figure things out before it got to this point, but things hit a fever pitch and i had to get out of there. i'm finding myself back at square one very suddenly, a lot more disabled than i was last time i had to job hunt, and frankly i'm. scared :')
i'm very thankful that my partner, their parents, and our roommates are willing to be flexible in helping cover some of my expenses while i rest and recover and find a new job, but i still need some extra support to make ends meet.
