i don't think people are getting the premise of this poll cause like. it's not fictional characters TO YOU in that scenario where you're stuck in an elevator. so you either don't know them and it's a complete stranger so you have to ignore your existing attachment in your choice OR you know about them because in that universe what they went through really happened so you're vaguely aware of them as survivors of That Plane Crash dhsjsjs and so if you're normal you're also not parasocially in love with them probably fbsbdbsnsis that's why i think. as an example. that i could be annoyed with misty in that specific scenario. i wouldn't be IF SHE WAS MISTY THE CHARACTER I'M OBSESSED WITH BECAUSE I'D DIE TO HEAR HER RANT IN MY EAR but like in that scenario she's a random attractive woman i don't know while i'm in an inconvenient potentially dangerous but also boring and claustrophobic situation and she's probably telling me about some murder in an elevator that she heard about on a true crime podcast with apparent glee behind her eyes. nat is ALSO A STRANGER in that scenario and probably really mad and potentially kicking the door and making me think oh this is how i'm gonna die. lottie might be so hot it takes my breath away but after 3 hours of hearing about the healing powers of herbal tea i am considering murder suicide. tai is currently threatening an elevator company for making her miss a meeting. van might honest to god be the only one who could have a nice chat with you but that honestly isn't certain either. do not try to base that interaction on how she acted in her vhs store THATS RETAIL BEHAVIOR. she isn't selling you shit in the elevator AND she doesn't know you AND she's tired terminally ill and traumatized to hell she honest to god might snort at your panic attack before she realizes it's for real
