While I wait for you to tell me if I can talk about the New York Special there are a few pics I have saved that are specifically for Season 5.

Well, since the zine is officially out (I just received my copy and it’s BEAUTIFUL! I’m so honored to have been a part of it, there’s so much amazing work!!!) and I see everybody else posting their pieces I guess it’s time to share my explosions of pink to the world. 

Adrien pretends to be innocent but eventually it’s all out in the open that he’s angling for #1 Best Friend and he’s like you better up your game if you want to beat me.

And after he pulls a major coup (with a still completely oblivious Marinette who doesn’t know why Adrien is suddenly so determined to be her friend but she’s excited even if she knows it’s only friendship because he has Kagami) Adrien looks at Alya all smug and she just shakes her head and is like, you may think you’re winning but not even you know who she’s crushing on.

And like, she’s right???? Ladybug never told Chat Noir and Marinette has never mentioned the topic with Adrien and while he thought it might be Luka he didn’t know and didn’t best friends talk about these things???

Adrien realizes that if he truly wants to beat Alya he must get Marinette to talk to him about her love life.

It’s starts with awkward segues like “Dating right?  What’s that about?” and turns into really lame attempts at initiating games of Truth or Dare (and god dammit why does she always pick dare? Ladybug was no coward but he sure wishes Marinette was a little less willing to streak across their school courtyard in her underwear.)

He tries commenting on her hangouts with others like  “I saw you and Luka were hanging out how’s that going?” and “You and Kim seem kind of close” but Marinette just chatters on about their hangouts and not in a gushing, crushing kind of way.

He thinks (hopes) maybe she’s into superheroes and says “I overheard you and Kagami talking about Chat Noir… he’s pretty cool right?” but other than a fond snort and a he sure thinks so it doesn’t really get him anywhere.

Alya is still reigning crush talk champion and all he seems to be doing is making Marinette stammer and blush and feel awkward which is totally not what best friends are supposed to do for each other.

I miss Miraculous Ladybug and I miss my daughter 😭😭 I haven't watched 5 newest eps of this series sobs

-Chloé/ Queen bee do have a lot of Spiderman parallels. But Chloé learning about the responsibility part MUCH later.

-Queen bee does have help. Derek was her gadget guy, and then partner in Crime fighting.

-She does get a fanbase, but that is after she helps take down a lot of crimes, and saves a CEO from a mob hit.

-She does have a blog dedicated to her, and news outlets do report on her (though usually getting the name wrong)
