It seemed that no matter how hard you tried to focus back on the lecture, your mind still wandered back to the scene you witnessed just a few moments ago. You couldn't forget the sharp crack that erupted from beside you that continues to play again and again in your with each squeaking stroke Dante made with the chalk on his hand. You were able to vividly recall those amethyst eyes burning with an incredible intensity of swirling emotions before snapping out of whatever train of thought he hopped into when you asked him whether he was doing okay. Quietly sighing, you closed your eyes for a few seconds, coming to terms that it would be difficult for you to refocus on the lecture. You glanced back at the very hand that easily snapped a fancy looking stainless steel fountain pen in half, discreetly noticing that now there were no ink smeared onto his palm. Though, you casually thought, he didn't do that much of a good job of properly drying the ink on his notebook as you could still smell the ink which sadly blotted some of his notes. He sheepishly accepted the leftover paper you offered to pat the paper dry but you could take a wild guess that hearing the rest of the lecture was more important for him than ensuring that all the spilled ink was removed. As studious as ever, he had another pen in his pouch that he was currently using for the rest of the class and kept the broken pen carefully wrapped with the same paper you offered near the corner of the desk. You surmised that it was because of his want to learn more about anomalies that made him not wanting to immediately take care of his notes that must have been ruined by now. 

Maybe 'not wanting to immediately take care' does not fit Luca's character, but right now you don't know what else to describe his relentless pursuit for knowledge in this particular situation as.

What you also are unable to describe were the swirling vortex of emotions that his eyes that briefly appeared before slowly subsiding after getting his answer from Dante.

Luca has been your friend ever since you stepped into the academy, and going on a few missions, sitting with him and chatting makes you hope that you at least have some understanding of him. He was always someone who saw the tumultuous, off the beaten path laid in front of him as a duty of the strong to walk on and continued to move in that direction no matter how difficult it may get. You have frequently stumbled upon him tempering his body and mind to withstand whatever harshness this path has to offer— be it strength training, anomaly studies to meditation, you are incredibly sure that he never missed a day to do all of this along with searching for his lost brother. Ever so steadfast and loyal towards his goals, you have never seen him settlenfor anything less than what he anticipates.

But you have also seen him furrowing his brows, trying his best to wrap his head around how Japan views on what crepe is. His penchant for learning also translated to him looking forward to Hotarubi's summer festival to the point of attempting to wear a yukata almost every day during the festivities to enjoy it tothe fullest, though he ended up asking for your help each time he wore it. His eyebrows— that always led your gaze down towards his brilliant amethyst coloured eyes, letting you savour that boyish charm he carried along with sincerity that you are sure shaped his lips— knits up even further at one of Kaito's antics, leading him to question the blond's choice of action  and into another comedic act that you had the delight to watch.

These minute observations you noted when being with him somehow made you feel more appreciative of his company. If you could go even further, dig through your thoughts on your friend, you could even say that you felt.... protected when he stood next to you. His amethyst eyes always focusing on you and asking about your health and mental status, and then to your surroundings for any slight disturbances made the tension in your shoulders loosen up. 

You couldn't feel that same relief when you see him hearing any mentions of anomalies though. Those very same bright and sincere eyes that always looked at the now rather than the later, felt distant. Those very same irises that you associated with the somewhat socially clueless yet kindhearted man made you think it belonged to someone else with how emotionally devoid it becomes. Like it hollowed every single emotion out of it till it could carry nothing but a cold fire in it.

.... oh, it all made sense now. 

Dante did briefly compared ghouls to anomalies, and it made perfect sense as to how this conclusion was drawn. But to Luca, maybe it didn't. You really did not want to assume everything about your British friend, but his words and actions towards anomalies never left much room to be speculated upon. To him, these supernatural beings are nothing more than malevolent forces that want to inflict harm upon those who are unaware of their existence. To be likened to something, who have brought suffering on the citizens as well as took away his twin brother, in any way shape of form must have left an incredibly bitter taste in his tongue. And that dislike towards that comparison reflected in his eyes, plunging them into the unfamiliar yet familiar void that deeply harboured his animosity towards anomalies.

It made you feel like you understood him a bit more, but it also made you feel a bit guilty of conjecturing some of his more intense feelings without a proper discussion beforehand. He did advise you to not speculate, and at this point his sincere and straightforward words sometimes really does make you second guess your answers on the basis of morality. 

Lucy is the kind of person who judges people base on their character rather than their gender. To her, it matters not whether what is the gender of the person standing in front of her but whether they are being sincere to her or not.

There won't be any difference in how Lucy treats the MC, irrespective of whether the inspector is a girl or a boy. There may be a difference in how quickly Lucy closes the physical gap depending on the gender of the MC, with the female MC quickly getting closer to her compared to the male! MC. But it always ends in Lucy forming a bond with the MC, understanding what boundaries she will not cross (if she does that, just know that she didn't know about it before so just politely tell her as soon as it occurs or beforehand to avoid it in the future) and following it wholeheartedly.

She will still consider herself as the protector of the group since she promised both the MC and fem!Kaito. She does not care whether the MC is a boy or a girl. In the end, the inspector is a civilian burdened by the curse and should not have to deal with it alone. So what if the man is supposed to be the one "protecting" girls? Lucy actively disagrees with these sorts of ideas and would feel like her abilities are being called into question. She will properly reassure the male!MC that she is a ghoul and as someone who has been given such power, she will carry the responsibility that is attached to it. The male!MC won't make Lucy feel like he does not trust her or treat her as if she is an object to be protected... but sometimes, accidentally, miscommunication happens.

Maybe it is because Lucy can't read between the lines in social contexts, or that communicating in another language that you are not native is difficult in regardless of how fluent you are due to all the cultural aspects tied to it, or just simply the male!MC instinctively using his body as a shield when encountering an anomaly. With different scenarios that can happen from accidental miscommunication, one thing is for certain that both of them will properly talk about it. Lucy wants to set things straight, and the male!MC never had the intention of making her feel inferior. Both of them don't want to create a rift between their friendship that was their first bond they created in Darkwick.

A friendship between the male! MC and Lucy would be based on always helping each other and understanding what is best to do according to the situation and needs of the other person. It is a strong case of incredible amounts of mutual respect and understanding in a friendship— the male! MC being a sweetheart and putting effort in helping Lucy find her lost twin while Lucy being ready to help her friend at a drop of a hat and unwilling to hear any sort of slander towards the efforts of the male! MC, ready to fight for the MC's honour.

These miscommunications are less when the inspector is a female, but they will be replaced with Lucy getting confused by all sorts of casual activities done between girls. She would always either walk up to the MC or fem!Kaito, sometimes even both when they are spending time together, and ask all sorts of questions that she had when she searched it on the internet after hearing it from either of her friends during a conversation.

She once read on the internet that sleepovers between girls are supposed to include a blood ritual sacrifice. That does not sound safe and can potentially make a civilian's life bounded to a demon.... on second thoughts, can this be a potential mission so she can fight that demon? She will make sure to talk about this to the captain and that the MC and fem!Kaito are safe before starting this ritual, after all this summoning seems like a group effort. And why does this crepe look so colourful and has such a large teddy bear made from whipped cream on top? She likes crepes but this looks completely different from the ones that she has eaten back at home. Instead of getting a clean line of cream on her nose, instead she might get a part of the teddy bear's face on her nose. Maybe the whole head of it? It's still a cute sight. Getting matching bracelet sounds good, that way she can quickly find the MC and fem!Kaito if they ever were to separate during a mission... though please keep it simple, it might get in the way of her daily training and she fears that it might get destroyed during combat.

All of these are small moments of her not properly understanding that sleepovers between girls does not include a sacrifice and it's just a joke, these crepes are done to attract customers, and they can just get the normal looking ones which can best represent their friendship.

Lucy has seen a lot of different views and settings outside of her room's window when the early morning rays peeked into her room from window curtain. Yet the inside of her room has never seen much change, reflecting the laser-sharp focus she has and her thirst for knowledge.

The room where she grew up in along with her twin has quite a few fond memories attached to it. Back in her home when both her and her twin were just children, there were a lot of puzzles and toys such as building blocks stored in the shelf cabinet as well as books lined neatly on its bookshelves in an ascending order according to size only for them. On every afternoon, her and her twin would take turns to pull out their favourite from the cabinet that is bolted securely to the ground and wall, place it down on the huge fluffy rug in the center of their room and continue from where they last left off. Their room wasn't overly decorated, but the colour combination chosen for this room gave innocent vibes while at the same time not clashing with what laid before them as soon as they opened the door.

Out of all the rooms in the house, this is her most cherished place. Whenever Lucy comes across that particular room (which is now empty aside from the cabinet that is still bolted in place... just missing those books and toys that once occupied it) that belonged to both of them when they were children, she would have a soft smile on her face before walking away.

As they grew older, so too did the expectation of handling bigger responsibilities. Lucy is grateful that their parents gave them a moment to live their childhood before teaching them what an heir of the household is supposed to do. Some may say that it is early for the twins to start their formal education but the ideology that the heir has to be stronger than the rest remains. Sadly, it meant that Lucy and her twin had to start living in separate rooms but it never stopped either of them from staying in the other's room for a bit. Lucy would always be the one to walk to the room and readily greet her twin early in the morning for their training, meanwhile her twin would sit near the open window of Lucy's room and breath in the evening wind to relax. Here, Lucy's room has a similar cabinet bookshelf that she had before, plus a wide study table for her to read and pen her notes down. Everything in her room is tidy and she makes sure to regularly clean her room. After all a clean room reflects a calm mind, or so she believes. Lucy was never the type to decorate her room, if you don't consider the plethora of books and a single reading lamp on top of the nightstand as decorations. So there is nothing that helps spice up her room.

In the beginning of sleeping separately from her twin, whenever she lied down on her bed to rest up for the day, her hand would unconsciously move towards another familiar hand but was met with nothing but the cold space beside her single bed. She later got used to not having another bed next to hers... she has more pressing matters to attend and bigger shoes to fill in. 

When Lucy entered Emrys Academy, it wasn't a jarring change for her. Yes, it did take a while to live in a dorm but she quickly got the hang of it. The same sense of room decor carried over that she practiced back at home— organized and tidy room with not much to look at. Though, if one were to look back at it, the room felt... lonely. It never helped the fact that she was the sole ghoul over there, and by her own admission she said that she has caused troubles to other students because of that. Don't get it wrong, she was appreciated for her personality and sense of duty over there. But when it was time to transfer to Darkwick to find her twin and subjugate a demon, she didn't have to do much while packing and finished it under fifteen minutes. So, with her luggage in one of her hand and a parting bouquet on the other, she left her dorm room as empty as it was when she stepped into it for the first time.

Lucy's dorm in Frostheim, again, is clean and tidy. The basic furniture provided to the Frostheim students here are all that decorates her room. The only noticeable thing that could be considered as truly hers are the two suitcases— one big brown trunk suitcase and a red suitcase— that she carried with her that contains all her essentials from back home. She is here on a mission, so she actively chooses not to decorate her room and hence did not bring any cherished items from back home. Though, she feels more comfortable staying here than when she did in Emrys. This dorm room is similar in the way her personal room was at her home, was what Lucy concluded. And it may as well be the case, but it feels like Lucy finally found close friends to let herself feel this level of comfort like she did a long time back. 

Lucy's fashion sense is centered around comfort and mobility. Even though she isn't too into fashion, her fashion sense is sharp enough to not make her look unflattering. Her daily wear focuses more on layering her clothes since her wardrobe tends to either have one colour or have accent colours that complement the main one. The only thing you wouldn't see in that wardrobe is anything that is particularly long and flowing. Having them in her clothes makes her feel like it might either get snagged in a branch or stray nail so she tends to avoid those unless it is for an important event.

Like her male counterpart, Lucy has a lot of cardigans and vests to go with her buttoned up shirts. When you touch one of her woolen clothes, they feel as if you are running your hands along the softest clouds on a sunny day. She is a bit particular about the material, especially the lining fabric. Since her skin is a bit sensitive towards rougher materials, it makes her skin itch after wearing it for a while so she avoids it.

She has an athletic inverted triangle build, like a gymnast. With her muscles being lean but well defined, she tends to wear clothes that complement her look. So her wardrobe would majorly consist of flared pants, structured blazers, A-line clothes, belted trenchcoats, cardigans, among others. She has maybe one or two skirts in her closet, but they would almost always be chosen over the wider and varied amounts of pants that she has. She tends to stay away from deep necks, even though it greatly complements her build, and always opts for something that wouldn't show her bust. She might wear them, but again it depends on the occasion and would very rarely wear them.

Lucy's skirt (that is folded neatly and tucked away in the corner of her wardrobe) would be a long flowy coffee-brown skirt that would have white frills at the bottom and golden embroidery on the lower hem. She, as said before, does not wear any flowing bits or skirts for the sake of her comfort and mobility. But this skirt was a gift from her parents that makes her carry it around with her all the way to Japan. She does not wear it much but whenever she does it always makes her feel closer to home, the homesickness that unconsciously bubbles within abated for a while.

Her style of dressing shines the brightest during the autumns and early winter. With her preferred styling to be layering and her favourite cloth fabric being woolen, she exudes beauty and grace with every step she takes. She has a small collection of trenchcoats that she is happy with, a particular coffee brown belted trenchcoat being her favourite. She doesn't wear caps or beret, neither a bow to accessorize her hair. She barely even has accessories to begin with, with her mission to find her lost twin and to subjugate a demon, the ones that she has is tucked away in the corner of her jewelry box back in her home. Thankfully, those rare trips using the R&R permit with fem!Kaito and male! MC are helping her gain one or two extra pieces to add to her already small collection.

Speaking of collections Lucy is proud of, she has a considerable variety of belts that she switches it up in her every day clothes. From wide to narrow, leather to cotton, and different colours, she feels like a belt finishes the look perfectly. These are the only ones that accessorize her everyday look.

Now here's the picture! This one has the skirt mentioned in the headcanons. I hope it looks decent??? Also the choice of combination.... I had such a difficult time thinking of what complements what so I hope it looks good enough to wear. It's a full body picture, which is something I am not used to so maybe it adds to the wonkiness I feel? I dunno.
