Whats the whole deal with the luck thingy? Why do Luka and Kagami have both good and bad luck if their miraculouses are supposed to represent a different side of luck? Don't mean to sound rude, im rlly slow :^
Nah, you're fine and Ik it is a mess. I guess the main goal was to hammer more of the 'balance' aspect, as in a 'two sides of the same coin' kind of way. I'll try to explain it better this time:
Luka is fortunate so events naturally bend in his favor and good opportunities fall on his lap at the right time . The problem is, when that happens, someone nearby has to end up paying the price through a streak of bad luck. His family is usually the main target as he lives with them, which is why he started having a sort of survivor’s guilt, thinking he's the one at fault whenever something bad happens to anyone close to him. So he always has the need to play the hero, but ends up coming off as pushy and invasive.
Kagami otherwise is drawing the short straw. Whatever outcome she get is usually never good. However, the luck she loses gets spread to the people around her, allowing them to succeed off her failure. Obviously, this does a huge blow to her pride and gets her real pissed so she ends up pushing past her limits at the cost of her sanity to be better. It also causes her social isolation because she believes others only want her around for their own benefit and she hates seeing people win.
Basically Luka is good luck for himself, bad luck for others, and vice versa for Kagami which is why I named the AU a paradox (dunno if it actually makes sense tho). The whole shtick is that luck sucks and fucks with their lives. They can only be at their strongest when they're a team, because that luck is canceled, and only then, they can actually get something done without some random force ruining it for them
