It's lovely today, Nina would muse as she padded across the grass. The sun shining, the wind blowing, the soft rustle of the leaves......the sound of rushing water added on to that beautiful imagery when the Chimera reached the river. Alexander would've loved this, but......he's gone, and he has been ever since their transmutation.
Nina closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she enjoyed the peace........only for that peace to be broken by a loud splash.
Her eyes snapped open, just in time to see a figure in the water. Nina can tell just by the movements that this person can't swim, and there's nobody around but her to see it. She plunged into the water without a second thought, her jaws grabbing on the back of the person's coat. The Chimera then lifts her cargo as if it's a mere feather, keeping her head high above the water as she paddled to the riverbank.
It didn't take her long to reach her destination, releasing her grip on the coat once she was a good distance away from the river. Water clouded her vision, which was quickly dispelled when she shook her fur, causing water droplets to go everywhere.
"Are you oka-" Nina would begin, but froze. She could've sworn she felt her heart skip a beat when she got a good look at the person she had just rescued. She knows that face anywhere, and one she has not seen for a long time.
".....Edward?"
