When I was in Pre School (roughly 2001), a girl with family from the Philippines told me during recess that 4 Shrek films had already been produced but you could only see the films outside of the US. Sometimes I still think about how they told me that Shrek and Fiona would have kids in the 3rd movie. Which, for those who don’t know, was an accurate prediction. She was probably pulling shit out of her ass, but hey, random girl from Pre School, if you’re somehow reading this. Know it’s a semi vivid memory.

About: Birgit is one of 6 siblings, the 3rd oldest to be exact. Right behind her brothers Christian and Anderson. However, she’s the only one unknowingly with any potential claim to a throne. The child of a short love affair between the fallen Prince and his few day Fiancée, Birgit’s supposed to be rather hush hush. A minor stain in the Arendellian royal family. Nothing to be concerned about.

While Father has plans for them to rule side by side when they eventually return to Auradon, Birgit is expecting a lot less. Being told that she is solely meant to play the role of Princess, and find a kingdom to enhance ties with by marriage. Perhaps if she’s lucky she can even earn the title of Historian if Father so pleases.

Life finally seems to be playing in my favor. I found a cheap place to live here in Orlando and my boss is seeming to try to help me keep my job. Which is a plus, has been fueling the muses.

About: Judge Claude Frollo sought to purge the world of vice and sin, but he saw corruption everywhere except within. That included any of his children. Thus, from the moment of birth, drilled into them the important lessons of life.

Noemi grew up hearing graphic descriptions of Hell, and what could get her there. Spoiler alert, basically everything. Noemi had heard stories of monsters beyond her imagination, and taught that the only way to avoid them was follow every one of her father’s lessons to a T. And also, don’t be Quasimodo. Whatever that meant? Though, perhaps the similarities between herself and her father’s former ward were running high.

About: Angélica comes from a line of scandal and luxury, stemming back from her Great Grandfather Ernesto De La Cruz. A figure who has been identified by many as one Mexico’s greatest actors and musicians. His most memorable song being that of “Remember Me” , a song he claims to have come to him one night early into his career when he saw two lovers saying goodbye at the train station.

Ernesto De La Cruz was not the type for a conventional romance. He was known to dote on his pet chihuahuas for the most part. Then came Rosa. Rosa Hernandez Mariposa was a Bailarina Folklorico who knew what she wanted and not afraid to- for lack of better words- seize her moment. Through months of being on tour together, the two started a compelling affair. Tabloids called her a groupie, she preferred the title Sugar Baby. The same tabloids had a field day when a pregnancy was announced. Carmen De La Cruz became the royal baby of Latin music.

Rosa’s tactics were what inspired Angélica. There was a lot of money that came with the De La Cruz name, but it was always nice to have someone to refill the wealth every so often. Based off the way people treated those with the name De La Cruz, you would assume the name to be synonymous with royalty. She needed a benefactor, someone who could keep her lifestyle up to her standards. Between of course creating her own music, such as Ceasar (pronounced like seize her) her most recent single based around someone seizing their moment, even if it means stabbing a friend in the back.

How ironic of a piece then, as recent discoveries have been made about Angélica’s great grandfather. Ernesto had not just stolen his songs, but had killed someone in the process! Thus raising a big question, what should be done with the descendants of the newly discovered villain?
