Millions of people around the world are invisible. Stateless people live in all parts of the world. Around 2 million in this part of the world. They have no nationality. No country recognizes them as citizens even if they have lived in the same place like here in Sangkhlaburi on the Thai Burmese Border for generations. Stateless people have no proof of their identity like a passport. Most don't have a family name. In other words officially they don't exist. They often can't travel, go to school, see a doctor, marry, own a house, open a bank account or vote. To support their families they often have to work illegally and live in fear they will be detained, deported or exploited. Registering a birth or even a death can be impossible. But thanks to your kind and generous support for Children of the Forest we are slowly but surely ending statelessness for hundreds if not thousands of children living on the Thai Burmese border. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5H3mkSACGu/?igshid=1lbk974wulb2y
