“Oh, good,” he said with a nod, eyeing the rabbit. “Well, isn’t he handsome? Does he have a name?”

"Whitey," she answered smiling up at him.  "He's Flopsy's big brother."

“Of course I’ll stay, sweetheart,” he replied with a grin. He couldn’t deny her anything when she looked at him like that. “What are you doing, anyway?”

"i'm playing," she answered giving him a bright smile, hugging the stuffed rabbit.

“Well, I suppose I could stay if you want me to — I know you’re terribly busy and all.” He grinned and nudged her playfully.

"What?  I'm not busy!  Stay please," she said giving him a bright smile.

  “What’re you wandering off to do then?” he asked, wondering if Barnes had mentioned him to his daughter. Couldn’t think of any other reason she didn’t react to him besides just answering him.

James had told her of someone, an old friend of his who would be hanging around a bit.  She wasn't afraid of him, not like he was a ghost or something.  "Find my papa?"

“Hey there, kiddo.”

"Uncle Bucky!"

“Not really, should you be wondering off on your own?”

"Well...no..."

“I don’t but I bet we could find him. How’s that sound?”

“Hey, sweetie. I’m Charlee. I don’t need anything, but do you?’

"Do you know where my papa is?"

“Well, hey there, darlin’! Just wanted to say hello, is all.”

"Just hullo? Can't ya stay?"
