Harry x Reader - Let's Graduate

Today was the last day. The last day to see your friends all together at lunch, the last day to see every teacher you liked (and didn't), the last day before you finally walked the steps to become a graduate. The morning on the bus ride was almost sorrowful, but kept well alive by the rambunctious teenagers who partied for the end of school. The driver was even cool enough to let one kid blare music from his own speaker! However, all you could focus on was the sunrise outside your window and the texts on your phone.

---Today, June 6th, 20XX---

Harry: Today's finally the day! Are you excited?

Harry: ;)

You: Well, I'm a little sad about it, really...

Harry: Aww, why? :(

You: It's gonna be the last time I see the guys all at school! Not to mention the teachers I actually like...

Harry: Tell you what, meet me at the front doors of your school after finals. We can do something to make all four years here worthwhile.

Your first final went by without a single hitch. The only one you had left was Economics, which you weren't as worried about. Walking down the halls and through the cafeteria lunch line, it only took you a few seconds to spot your usual friend group chattering about how hard their finals were.

"I only got a 70! I knew that teacher hated me!" Jay whined, Scarlette chiming in with her snarky attitude, "At least I studied more than you AND got a 100 on mine!" "You sure that you didn't earn that a different way, Scarlette?" Eugene teased, unknowingly signing himself up to become the next can of dead meat. "YOU LITTLE-"

"Guys! You're all here!" You happily took a seat at the table, ignoring the glares of the unhappy campers who still hated you after so much time. Zion, however, ruffled your hair and welcomed you next to him. "(Y/N), you have this lunch?! Awesome!!" Judy beamed, hugging you close before taking a seat to your other side. "(Y/N)! You gotta help, I made the blonde lady mad, now she's gonna kill me with hair bleach and makeup!" Eugene begged, reaching across the table to plead for your help. "I DON'T EVEN BLEACH MY HAIR, JERK!" "That's enough." Ethan picked up Eugene, setting the feisty guy down next to him, "You still have a year left to graduate."

The mention of graduation had you fiddling with your food, the only guy noticing being Lawrence studying at the lunch table. "Hey, is everything alright?" His concerned brown eyes locked onto yours, and you couldn't help but let out a few sniffles, "I'll... Be alright. I'm just going to miss this, being here and having us all be ourselves. My teachers too." You look off to the wall, a poster reading "Farewell Graduates of 20XX!" catching your eye. You had barely noticed the rest of your friend group watching you until you felt a gentle warmth from your left, then a rush of warmth to your other side. "You better promise to be friends with me after high school!" Judy pouted, holding you close to her. Lawrence chimed in, "Maybe we could do something this summer-" Zion was quick to put in his two cents, "SUMMER BREAK!" He cried out in joy, followed by Eugene and Jay excitedly banging on the table. Maybe graduating wouldn't be so bad after all...

...So why were you crying so hard in front of the school?

It was hard to leave behind the joy of a simpler time, but it was harder to leave behind four years of your life. So much growth, and now you're leaving as quick as you came. Hell, you remember the first day here, you shook so bad that you needed a friend to hold you until your nerves settled. That friend, Ethan, then introduced you to his table of oddball friends, who you grew to love after four years. You almost wish you could be here forever.

"Hey," Harry came from behind, putting a gentle hand on your shoulder, "Still not ready to leave?" You shook your head, earning a soft sigh from him, "I know. It was hard to even get in my car and drive here to leave my school, but I think it's gonna be worth it to finally get out of here." You held your own arms, unsure of this odd future. "I'm still not ready to leave, I think I need a minute." "We can stay here as long as we need." The both of you decided to take a seat on a nearby bench, reminiscing over the great and horrible high school tales. Like that time Zion found a cockroach in his rice or when your teacher made you read a terrible poem in front of the class.

Lawrence x Reader - Love Bites

The tiny click of a lock undone was music to your ears. Had it been hours now since he left? Time was a fading concept in your mind, since the only thing that mattered was when it was nightfall or sunrise.

"I hope I wasn't gone too long, _____. I ran into a bit of trouble-" Before Lawrence could finish, a sweeping embrace knocked him back into the wall. The bat in his hand fell to the floor as he tried to match your warm hug as quick as he could. "That bad, huh?" He chuckled, messing up your hair with a few head pats.

"You said it was a quick run! I was worried you got killed!" You pouted, looking up at him with concern lacing your eyes. "I know, I know. I had some of those zombies trying to follow me here. But not to worry, we're safe now." He pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead, letting you go to lock the door behind him.

"What was that run for anyways?" You questioned, helping him take off his jacket and hanging it on the salvaged coat rack. Instead of answering, he swept you up into an inviting embrace and pressed a myriad of kisses on your cheek. "Lawrence! Don't try to avoid answering me with kisses!" You giggled, trying to pry him off to finally get an answer from him. Lawrence only kept going, holding you up from the ground as the kisses went from fast to lingering longer each time.

He ended his little kiss storm with one that stayed for just a few more seconds than the rest had, his head slowly lifting up to see your face. His brown eyes meeting your own gave you just the idea how much he was into this. Into making you feel all fuzzy inside, hearing you laugh along with his gestures of kindness, and feeling your soft skin against his. Wordlessly, he leaned back in and pressed his longer kisses into your collarbone.

You felt tempted to say anything, praise or teasing words, but all fell into a comfortable ambience under his intoxicating love. He wanted to cherish this moment, to take it and make it memorable. After all, even the most gentle of gestures still bear excitement and a readiness to strike, much like a wolf.

"_____, let's stay like this... Forever..." You could only nod to his whispers, letting out a tiny yelp upon feeling his teeth brushing your skin. You could feel him shake ever so slightly with shivered breaths dancing on your neck. "Lawrence? Are you okay?" He didn't have any symptoms or signs he was sick as far as you knew. You took one of his exposed arms into your hand to check for any signs of the virus, Lawrence sighing in slight disappointment. "_____, it's alright, I wasn't bitten. I just want you to be here with me. Right here..."

A chill went up your spine as he kissed again, but this time with the confidence he needed. Instead of merely brushing your skin with his teeth, his kisses turned into love bites. The first few were small, but each one grew more and more passionate. He was starving for you, craving the smell of you and the feeling you give him. You were everything he wanted, he just needed to show you and the rest of this God forsaken world just how bad he needed to keep you.

Small noises of contentment slipped your lips, leaving you leaning onto Lawrence for comfort. It only encouraged him to keep going, knowing you trusted him well enough to relax in his arms. To let him bite you with you trusting his word on how he was uninfected. You were just so naive and vulnerable, he wished he could just keep you in this moment eternally. With every thought about what ways you could be hurt, his bites escalated from gentle to passionate yet vicious.

It stung after every little love bite, your now bruised neck and collarbone littered with his insecurities and reasons to protect you. He only stopped when he bit too far. "Lawrence!" You yelped again, this time loud enough to snap him out of it. This last bite had gone bad, a red line where his mouth just was marking you.

Ethan X Reader - Snuggly

It had been nearly a week since the both of you had escaped the school alive. It was a fight for survival out there, but it wasn't as if nothing good was left in this world. Where you stood was the top of yet another building, watching the sun emerge from the horizon like a triumphant warrior defeating the mountainous and mighty climb. The dark purple hues of night the sky quickly retreated upon the orange and pink sunrise that tickled the clouds with color and woke the Earth with soft sunlight.

Behind you was a sleep deprived Ethan, who rubbed his eyes to keep himself awake. After his ankle had stopped hurting as bad, he dedicated his being to protecting you. It wasn't that you were defenseless nor incapable, far from it. He was enamoured by how you could still appreciate what was left untouched by cruelty in a world full of bloodshed. He made careful steps towards you, only taking a seat next to his beloved when they patted the spot next to them with a gentle smile.

Talking was something rarely done in these moments, but you couldn't help nudging Ethan softly upon noticing his fluttering eyes. "Ethan?" He startled awake, looking off in the distance before recollecting what just happened. "Did you stay up again?" It made him wince to hear you so concerned, but he couldn't lie when you were just so... so... hard to deceive. Instead of speaking, he nodded his head. "Why? Why would you stay up again?"

It took him a good minute to finally respond, "I had to protect us. This building isn't the safest." He pointed down, motioning to a nearby crowd of zombies on the ground. Instead of arguing, you looked all around the surrounding with a head turn and wrapped both arms around the muscular man as gently as a fawn.

"Is there anything up here, Ethan?" You asked, knowing full well the answer was no. "I... Don't believe so?" To that, you pulled yourself up and pressed a warm kiss to his forehead. "Then let's sleep up here..." Small protests didn't come in the form of words from him, but rather a deep blush and a light shove. However, none of this deterred you from shoving him down and pinning him to the rooftop for a cuddle. You nuzzled right into his chest with a soft coo rising from your throat. "(Y-y/n)?" "Shhh... Let's stay here just for a minute..."

There the lovers laid, the sunrise's merciful rays cascading warm light onto the pair of snuggly and sleepy survivors.

Harry - Golden Retriever

It started in the Safe Zone, a year or so after you had gotten there. After saving his dad, Harry had his headaches return quite severely. Though your comfort provided pain relief, the pain still plagued him with unbearable episodes. It's a bit of a shame that this round of searching for zombies to cure came just as one of these episodes of migraines started.

"I'll be safe out there, I promise!" You kiss Harry's forehead and leave with Edith. Edith was a friend you made in that camp, they almost reminded you of Judy...

Light conversation with Edith helped push those feelings away, with no zombies in sight to interrupt or cure. "Wait! ____, stay right where you are... I think I hear something." Edith had already stalked off before you could protest her abandoning you. "Damn it..."

Just within your sight was something small, yellow, and... Wiggly. With your real gun in hand, you slowly approach it with careful and quiet steps.

"Arf!" A tiny puppy emerged, looking up at you with large brown eyes.

Maybe this tiny guy could help Harry finally heal from resurfaced trauma...

Eugene - Duck

Tbh, he's a little salty from the claw machine joke you made a while ago

Eugene is a man of many words, and many ideas on how to get you back

However, he didn't expect a tiny duckling to be the answer to his prayer

From it's look and the fact it had been hatched near a farming supermarket, he could guess it wasn't exactly a feral duck

The little thing sure made a lot of noise for a duck, frantically quacking at him and pecking at his hands

Oh yeah, this one acted quite like you with its nagging quacks and feisty personality... He wondered how you'd react to him gifting you with a tiny duck version of his beloved

Zion - Opossum

It certainly wasn't the most convenient of pets- hell, not even domesticated

It just happened to be stealing rations from the Safe Zone's supply, and he was the one who would swiftly put an end to it

Lifting up his weapon, a pocket knife, he lowered it upon seeing its scared little eyes

He didn't have a clue WHY he would spare the giant rat, but he just kind of... scooped it up and brought it back

"Zion, what the HELL did you bring back and why?!"

"It looked so scared and filthy... I couldn't kill something that reminded me of my girlfriend!"

He may or may not have slept in a separate room that night

Ethan - Black Cat

Cats were silent

Many had either few words or too many, but one thing common with them is that Ethan was a huge cat person

Sure, dogs and baseball people are like bread and butter, but Ethan couldn't help but at least smile at the sight of a cat

That's why when a grizzled old cat with one clouded and scarred eye croaked a weak meow his way during their journey to the Safe Zone, Ethan was first to investigate

Feral cats are almost always hostile, but this old boy was way too docile with Ethan picking him up to be a feral cat

"Poor guy..." You chimed in, taking a gander at the worn out cat in his arms, "He probably had a really good home until this all started."

The cat was thinner than a toothpick, barely able to hold his own anymore

"Ethan, can we keep him?" You begged, earning a small nod from your loving boyfriend

Lawrence - Rottweiler

To be honest, he had this kind of breed planned

He had spare dog food stored alongside the normal rations just in case he ever found what he was looking for: a guard dog

After a year of keeping you, his keen eyes spotted a young Rottie pup almost succumbing to a zombie attack

Whether out of kindness or plain luck, Lawrence had mercilessly beat the zombie and towered over the little pup protectively

The young dog would make a fine addition to his "pack"

Dogs were known to not carry the human strain of the virus, which makes dogs like Rottweilers perfect for guarding and attacking

Not only was that true, he would also have a perfect companion- loyal to him, and able to win your heart to keep you in place

Judy - Bird

A blue budgie had hatched in the Safe Zone!

It was originally going to be used to test if the virus affected birds, but a stubborn and caring Judy wanted so badly to have this bird

Yes, she loves birds

After a long while of her begging the scientists behind the study, they let her keep the budgie after it had been deemed safe

You and Judy became the best bird parents after adopting Ocean (what Judy had oh so begged you to name her)

Even without a cage, Ocean stayed quite close to you both and even joined in on all the fun

Don't expect Scarlette to come near it, she'll whine and complain about bird crap in her hair

Sue - Plant

"Animals only eat the rations." She would say, always a disappointing answer to your question of if she would let you keep a pet

However, she didn't say anything about... Plants

So while she was out for a bit, you got to work and gathered some seeds to plant in makeshift pots

Sue was baffled by the cups of dirt in the room, but the tiny sprouts that emerged clued her in on what was going on

"What are we going to name them, Sue?" "...You really are desperate for something to care for. I guess a plant isn't so bad..."

After all was said and done, the names were decided for the troublesome plant trio (who really didn't have the room to be troublesome considering that they can't move)

Scarlette - Pomeranian

It took a LONG while for Scarlette to even consider dating you after what she went through

After a huge stretch of time, she took it upon herself to apologize to you and ask you out at the same time

Sure, she used to like Zion, but after being able to trust you? Her heart would leap to the moon spending any time she could with you

So, upon finding out a former Pomeranian breeder had a spare puppy, she traded a week's worth of her own ration to have as a gift for you

It took quite a bit of courage, but she couldn't go back now.
