But I just wanted to do a quick shoutout to the writers and artists who devote time to these otps- because often your work won’t get enough attention to feel truly validated. Your work may never get the hits/kudos/reblogs/comments a more popular pairing will, but don’t despair- someone out there is happy because you did the thing, and honestly? If you’re happy you did the thing, then keep doing the thing.

Thank you for the time and effort you put into the ships no one talks about. You’re amazing and don’t forget it.

I took the cargo ops class at school but my teacher explained that it doesn't give a certification and I'd only be okay for ship's crane and the school forklifts. she said I could take an online exam and get my cert. I paid 60 bucks.

I'm googling and I'm seeing a lot of resources saying that the online programs cover the classroom part of the exam but not the in person practical aspect.

The shop got a handful of sunflower prints in and this one was so pretty. I decided I better do something with it!

I was planning on making a one blocks wonder to surround a big sunflower panel, but I forgot how slow and tedious making these are. Especially after whipping out half a dozen nine patch quilts LMAO

Anyway. We’ll see how many I can make before I get tired of them. Might use the panel, might just make a lap with the blocks.

This three are all one block, just spun around to the three possible configurations. I have to do that with each one (i don’t have to, i could just throw ‘em together with the first layout I do) and decide which I like the best.

And it’s so lightweight; I used 100% cotton batting and a deep green cotton for the backing and it is crazy how light it is for its size!

Used the accent yellow for the binding to frame it all up and bring that side setting colour all the way around the quilt and used a bright yellow thread on the back so you could see the quilted sunflowers.

I love doing OBWs, but always forget how easy they are. Intimidate myself out of doing them because I think to myself: it’s gonna take soooo long i could do other quilts that will be faster!!
