#Repost @cathy.heller ・・・ Be gentle with yourself for you have been through so much heartbreak and you’re here. * * The other day I did a self compassion meditation and it was so simple and powerful. The instructor said “think of something that’s been painful recently and say to yourself in your mind “this is hard for me” then she said “now tell yourself “everyone feels this way sometimes”. * * Just acknowledging things that are challenging makes them somehow easier to be with. And just letting yourself know that everyone feels this way , makes it easier to sit with. * * It’s so powerful and yet so epic to give ourselves some compassion and a minute to feel our feelings. Maybe no one did that for us enough as kids, maybe we have to do that more for ourselves. Maybe there’s so much shame around feelings. Maybe we can let that go. * * The thing is when I meditate and I breathe and my mind gets still, I can feel that really all that’s there surrounding me and running through me is love. * * Sometimes we’re so caught up in the whirlwind of our thoughts that we don’t see what’s available all the time. There’s a current of goodness, peace and love always running through us, within reach a breath away. * * I feel drawn to spend more time leading workshops, classes, masterminds and healing sessions in 2019. I will be here to keep making a space for you to be seen with all your brokenness and all your strength. All of you is welcome here.
