Use a minimum of two ring shank 8D nails or 2-1/2 inch wood screws to attach boards to each sleeper. Be careful to design deck panels so that they can be lifted with minimal effort and damage for cleaning and repairs of the membrane below. To do this simply avoid attaching some of the deck boards to the sleepers. You will need to plan ahead, so it is a good idea to draw a plan beforehand, so you know exactly which boards are not to be attached. The Final Touches You will need a fence or railing.
