Milton Lee Olive Park. Named after the US soldier Milton “Skipper” Lee Olive, from Chicago, who threw himself on a hand grenade during an ambush in Vietnam to save the lives of other US soldiers around him. Olive was the first African American to be given the Medal of Honor, the highest military decoration, from President Lyndon B. Johnson. Olive - Harvey Community College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, is also named in his honor.
