Day 29: March Releases | Besides Lady Midnight (which I still haven’t gotten my hands on!), The Winner’s Kiss and Because of Miss Bridgerton were the two March releases I was looking forward to picking up this month #celineannajillmarch16 #bookhaul #bookstagram #thewinnerskiss #marierutkoski #becauseofmissbridgerton #juliaquinn
can’t forget Lady Danbury’s words. :) #juliaquinn #ladydanbury #dragonlady #bridgerton #quotes
Decided to pick this up since I discovered that my last four Bridgerton books didn’t have the second epilogues in them apparently.

Bridgertons & Spouses Batch 2. I will likely continue to tinker with faces/bodies/dresses, but here it is for now, though I feel a bit like I’m shouting into a void. :|
Julia Quinn’s The Bridgertons was the first romance series I ever read and I still love it 😍
Mati and Judy’s Favorite covers. What’s yours?
If we encounter a man of rare intellect, we should ask him what books he reads. - Ralph Waldo Emerson . #cherynaspecialshoutout . I have decided to create a hashtag to express my appreciation towards fellow bookstagrammers who, in my opinion, put an extra effort in making books look, sound and smell wonderful via Instagram. . I present to you @paper_whim - a classic and beautiful bookstagram account. Go and check it out, folks! . @paper_whim @paper_whim @paper_whim . Until the next account 😉

What’s the good of being true to your religion on the outside, if you don’t change what’s on the inside, were it really counts? - Randa Abdel-Fattah, Does My Head Look Big In This? . As you know, I am a Malay Muslim from Malaysia. I wear hijab and you can see that clearly on my profile. . When I bought this book, I was not fully comitted. There were times I was wearing it. But sometimes, I was not. . The book was in my TBR list for quite some time. Until something happened. . One of my colleagues at work called the hijabists as "mushroom heads". . Amusingly, the guy was my own fellow countryman amidst our British working environment. . I was somewhere in my 20s when I read about the young Amal, an Australian-Muslim-Palestinean. . Amal, just like myself, took a leap. She made a statement of her religion in an awkward environment. Hijab was not unusual yet not everyone cared enough to disregard someone's appearance. . Her journey might looked simple because the author was viewing it as a child. Though working women faced harsher discrimination yet as a child, it was not peaches and cream for Amal too. . While reading the book, I had this taste of bitterness in reality. But when Amal talked about the food, I could not help from imagining what it would be like to live in a peaceful Palestine. . This book was not religious and it portrayed choices and options a lot, but it gave a general overview of how Muslims were going through their lives. . Contrary to popular belief, numerous Muslim women out there are educated, free, happy, and outspoken. We have careers, enjoy music and films and books and sports too. And we are loved by our men. . Just like Amal. Just like me. . The author of this book has mentioned, "Everything is relative. If you want to understand a problem you look at its cause. You don’t look at its manifestation." . Being the only Muslim in the crowd almost 10 years ago made me realised how important for me to stay true to the core belief: Patience. . When he made the joke, I laughed and asked, "I thought that truffles are expensive?" . Then I realised. Oh. He was not happy that my picture was plastered on the Wall of Fame that year. . Ka-Ching!
