Happy birthday Basil!

You're extremely dear to me. I've debated what to make him wear, as I wanted to draw him a little stylish. The polos and undershirts or just button-ups get tiring after a while. A little bit dramatic, huh?

I don't really understand anything about fashion, so I went with the ouji-like style and a photo of a visual kei artist.

I know you don't exist in this universe, but if there is a universe where you do exist I hope you get to make peace with the events that took place in the game. You get reunited with your best friends again, and just have that carefree smile plastered on your face once more. I think that's what you deserve. I know you can't undo it all, but I also believe that you can heal with the help of others. I hope you get to bask in their love and care again. I hope there is also another universe where that tragedy didn't occur, and you just got to enjoy many more breakfasts with your best friends; you got to laugh with them to your heart's content. I hope you fill up your album(s), you get to make memories with them. I hope you get to attend the best prom parties and eat the best cakes for each of your birthdays.

A loud sigh, mixed with a groan escaped Sunny’s lips. He ended up squatting with a resigned attitude. “Jesus, Aubrey,” he complained, then lifted his head to look up at her goddess, as if he was begging for mercy. She was unable to maintain eye contact after a second or so. “Come on, please. I’m trying my hardest here.”

i plan to draw something for his bday as well. if i'm unable, let's consider this his birthday gift!! i love u basil. i love how nuanced you are. maybe i'm projecting a little, but i do think i understand you to some extent. i understand your attachment and why you hold things so dearly. in a way, this game's a worst case scenario for the poor dude.

fun fact: for my birthday last year, my boyfriend got me a polaroid camera! for my birthday this year, my best friends got me films :D and one of them even got me an album-like notebook lololol.

Growing up comes with strings. Everything becomes more and more complicated. Even the feelings you were once sure of becomes muddy and entangled with something else. Sunny knew that best. Aubrey didn't. That's why she was angry.

I'll share the chapters day by day. I'm. I'm just happy that I'm finally done with editing it. It was supposed to be a oneshot.... But I just kept on writing, because I wanted to give everyone depth. Because I like every single one of those characters a bit too much. Now it's 16k words.
