This song is adorable and it’s sheer positivity! It puts a big smile on my face and is usually in my rotation if i’m really sad. I love 60s and 70s (i love all kinds of music, rly) theres often just such a soulful feel to it. Beautiful music.

Somewhat new band with a wonderful ethereal, whimsy and psychedelic sound to them. Highly recommend for all the Lana fans out there 💕💕 Alexandra Savior is super talented and soulful. This entire album Belladonna of Sadness is fantastic and her newer stuff is also amazing.

Beautiful late 70s song. Glen Campbell was known as the “Rhinestone Cowboy” for his 1975 hit about persevering and making it big on the big stage. I wouldn’t consider this country but it definitely has a southern feel to it. I would describe it as soft rock with southern and americana influences I think. Good vibes all around! Sunflower on the same album is just as good.

This is quite literally one of my absolute favorite songs to come out in the past year. Wonderfully unique blues-y sound, reminding the world that real music is still alive in 2026! It’s got such an infectiously joyous vibe to it. It’s a toss up between this and Breaking in Brooklyn for absolute favorite Dogpark song.

First metal song for the blog 🖤 I love Rob Zombie movies and music so this was only a matter of time. He’s a singer, songwriter, actor, and director. He does it all. Highly talented and unique, his movies are especially dark but his music also gets pretty graphic. Lots of headbangers. I would describe him as a less industrial, Southern Marilyn Manson with less androgyny and a more focused demonic sound? Haha not too sure. Hard to word.

I like this song a lot! Its pretty basic but relatable and catchy. It kinda follows the recipe for a tik tok hit lol, sad and simple and catchy. I like the wordplay in it where they finish a line with starting a new one. “Wanna stick a cigarette in my- eyes closed, not sleeping”

You’ll probably recognize this one from Doja Cat’s Paint The Town Red! One of my hyperfixations is SAMPLES in music. I absolutely love hearing soul samples in rap music; I think the production is usually stellar and it pays homage to the original greats. Isaac Hayes version is a bit more sampled than Dionne Warwicks but both are fantastic. Kanye West has a ton of soul samples in his old stuff as does Nas and Biggie and most of the 90s southern rap scene.

One of my absolute fav unreleased Lana songs!! Purely positive, not really a deep cut but super catchy and nostalgic. Behind Closed Doors and this are likely tied. The queens got so much amazing music 😍

I’m OBSESSED with this song and one of their newer ones that’ll be a different post. They’re a really good, niche little band with only a few EPs out currently but its all good stuff. I swear this song is pure dopamine to me.

I adore this little band. I remember first finding them when the Locket EP first came out and this was at under 10k views. They have soo much talent and such a wonderful whimsy, psychadelic, alternative, jazzy sound to them. 10/10 recommend 💖💖

Not generally a huge Panic! At The Disco fan but this song is really good! Reminds me a lot of Fall Out Boy. Good happy song.

Absolutely beautiful 💖 cover of Seals & Croft’s 1972 original of the same name; but I much prefer this version. Very soulful, wonderful guitar, positive vibes. It’s been on repeat for a while now
