I’m a 20 year old bisexual Black girl and I’ve been living alone with my mom for about 3 years now. Things have never been great with her but it’s like the covid pandemic has set something off since we have to be around each other more. Earlier this year in March my mom got physical with me and it was like nothing she’d ever done before. I had bruises, scratches and a ripped shirt. I’ve tried to act like it didn’t happen and avoid any kind of situation similar to that with her since but recent events this past month have shown me I can’t stay here any longer.

I’m trying to get a job hopefully as a contact tracer or something but until then I’d like to reach out for help from anyone who can give it because moving out has become a priority.
