i hadn't but now i have🙂‍↕️ it's ok anon don't be sorry (actually i did draw him for pride month but i never finished all of the drawings so i didn't post it orz)

᭄᭡ ͏ ͏ ͏: 1 nico saw a cat nearby the apartment they were staying at and fed it some tuna. ever since then not only has that cat been coming back everyday but other kitty friends too! xander likes to help out with feeding and petting them. they both would've loved to take at least one of them but they aren't allowed to have pets in their apartment.

᭄᭡ ͏ ͏ ͏: 2 xander loves calling nico his "sleepy baby" because he thinks they look cute while they're sleeping. especially when they fall asleep in his arms or on his shoulder. they also happen to be tired pretty often.

᭄᭡ ͏ ͏ ͏: 3 their usual breakfast is very different from each other. xander likes having a full meal like pancakes and fruits or eggs and bacon. nico on the other hand dosen't eat that much, especially in the morning. they prefer to eat something smaller like a sandwich. they're not underweight though, they just don't like eating a lot in the morning. at first xander was really concerned about this because he thought they were slowly starving themselves. this was obviously not the case.

᭄᭡ ͏ ͏ ͏: 4 nico is a very big fan of sweet treats and sometimes xander will surprise them with store bought pastries. one of their favorites is strawberry cakes.

᭄᭡ ͏ ͏ ͏: 5 nico loves gentle touch but only if they're aware of it before it happens. xander has accidentally spooked them in the past from surprised hugs and such.

᭄᭡ ͏ ͏ ͏: 6 xander has a LOT of jackets in his closet. nico really loves them, especially his soft hoodies. they'd let xander wear some of their clothes as well but they'd be a little small on him.

᭄᭡ ͏ ͏ ͏: 7 neither of them do particularly well under pressure, xander gets too riled up and nico gets too stressed and fidgety.

᭄᭡ ͏ ͏ ͏: 8 they don't kill bugs unless if they absolutely have to. they prefer to capture it and let it free outside.

᭄᭡ ͏ ͏ ͏: 9 they both dressed up as vampires for halloween.

᭄᭡ ͏ ͏ ͏: 10 xander takes those "would you still love me if ___" questions very seriously. nico finds it pretty silly yet heartwarming how he responds to them.

What "Happy Birthday" and "Loser" spelled out to me (especially when it came to DTDev's comments) is that, while Ace fundamentally wanted to change as a person (by developing new skills, changing his lifestyle, overcoming his fears, etc.), Arei didn't. She did not believe in or desire self-improvement going into the killing game.

This is not what we see in chapter 2. In the main series, Arei's arc finishes with her deciding that change is possible and worth pursuing, whereas Ace's decision to murder her is motivated by his unwillingness to better himself. Teruko points this out quite blatantly at the end of the trial; the reason Ace killed Arei in spite of his thanatophobia was because he considered that preferable to becoming a better person.

Change is a huge theme in DR:DT, and one that affects practically every member of the cast, so I find it interesting that our two most recent deaths were such opposites in terms of their relationships with it. Ace and Arei's bonus episodes also comment on societal ideas of success, achievement, and goal-setting in young adulthood, but that's a different post entirely.
