I will probably either write a fic or make a post about this AU eventually but that day is not today

I felt I should make *something* as a sort of homage to this comic as it has been such a big part of my life since I found it, so here we are

probably something along the lines of "This will either fix me or kill me and im fine with either"

But with all seriousness while I don't this was a conscious thought of his,I do think that subconsciously Jekyll is very suicidal, while reading the comic a few weeks ago I kept thinking to myself "wow this guy is looking for any excuse to kill himself huh"

I don't think he wholly saw it that way, but it's definitely a desire of his, to just give up on this life, whether in form of literally killing himself or in the form of giving up on his responsibilities (something he cannot let himself do out of guilt, which pushes him to become more suicidal), which is why he was so relieved at the idea of the exhibition failing after waking up from having passed out on stage - he doesn't want it to fail! Buuuut it would mean he wouldn't have to bear the role he has placed on himself anymore

(and i argue while Hyde is the one out of the two of them that desperately wants to live, he still isn't wholly free from this either, what with his engagement in high risk behaviours)
