Let me know if I dropped a thread. Christmas was insane.
âWhen youâre ugly and someone loves you, you know they love you for who you are.â- infected-immunologist
@infected-immunologist
âI mean, Amen to that,â he laughed weakly, letting his fingers curl around the handle of his glass. He may have been slightly tipsy, which was good. No more bullshit personality. Darius was just there, with his mask off and proudly showing his metal jaw and scars.Â
âPeople who are beautiful inside are the cool ones. And I donât mean like physically inside beautiful but as someone who was in medical school I guess thatâs another plus.â
Morel chuckled alongside him. Ziegler had banned alcohol from her diet, saying that the drugs interactions would be dangerous. Still, she pressed the button that administered her pain medication a little more often than usual. It made the world pleasantly dizzy, like the edges of everything had blurred. She felt euphoric.
âI donât know about that,â she said, pressing the button on her chest again. âBut really! People like us never have to worry about things like that. I mean, really, whoâs going to date us only for looks?â
Ziegler had also banned alcohol and smoking from his diet. It didnât really stop him though. If he was going to die eventually, might as well have a little funâŚBesides, theyâll replace the bad organs. His lungs were already fucked up anyways.Â
âI mean, people who have fetishes for crudely put together cyborgs, probably,â he snickered softly. He let his finger run along the top of the glass with a hum. âThough, you say that but youâre really pretty Morel. Inside and out. Anyone would be lucky enough to have you.âÂ
She snorted, the sound echoing from inside her mask. âIâm a dead woman walking. Itâs only a matter of time before Iâm gone. Besides, who wants to date someone they canât touch?â
Morel pressed the button again, maybe a little too quickly. âNo, itâs better to just⌠Do something useful. Research, fight, improve the world. Help while Iâm still able to.â
Darius nodded at the other before taking another swig of his drink. âHey, there is always someone.â His odd mood change was definitely something else, but he did believe that there could be someone for anyone who wants it enough.
âI mean, yeah. At this point my only purpose is to take out those Talon bastards who made me like, âhe gestured to his entire body. âThis.â
âWhere were you at the briefing?â
 @urociion
TalonWatch Sentence Starters
âIâm afraid briefings arenât quite my thing anymore, Dr. Foxâ he spoke, his voice sounding like a dull knife as he spoke. âI haveâŚbetter work to do than dealing with Talon.âÂ
He wondered briefly why on Earth she was doing here, of all places. After all it seemed that his files werenât exactly destroyed since she seemed to remember him clear day. Or his friends who remained there in Talon were talking on the down low of the once incredible chemical engineer that mysteriously disappeared. âNow tell me, what is your real reasoning of finding me?â
âYou were replaced, doctor. No matter how much you try to convince yourself otherwise. Isnât that rather ironic?â
She allowed her head to drop to one side, eyes focusing on his mask. There was something critical about her gaze, just examining, analysing, picking out weaknesses.Â
âBut enough of that. You were in one of those cells once, I recall. Perhaps thatâs why youâre so bitter. The documents and reports on the testing are long gone. You know, thats why I sought you out. Those modifications and procedures seemed to work⌠quite well. A few follow up tests should be conducted on a few others with more refined methodology. So what did they do to you, doctor? Tell me and we can get this over with more quickly.â
âI think youâre the one who is trying to convince yourself,â he spoke.
Something seemed to click when she said that. His eyes dilated into small circles as she mentioned knowing who he was. His cell. HisâŚlegacy in that place.
Before she could look at him for long, he grabbed her shoulders and battered her right into a nearby wall. If she knew, if she remembered anything they didâŚshe deserved this. That was his logic. He made sure to get a good punch in her jaw as he held her. âYou know, if you didnât mention anything I was going to leave you be for another timeâŚâ he seemed to growl.
His fingers dug into her shoulders. âYou failed the project, you will never test on me again. With what you did to me I didnât become more advancedâŚyou made a primal killing machine.â
One that would have no problem adding more blood to his hands. Â
âAnd that is exactly what TALON wanted.â
Foxâs cold smirk never fell, despite the bruising sure to appear on her shoulder, against her jaw, despite his threats. There was the anger sheâd been looking for, so barely veiled all along, finally exposed.Â
âYou are still being tested upon. The results have shown that the treatment could be reversed. Weâll aim to improve that the next time. Tell me, agent. Would you kill me right now?â
They had been investigating the Widowmaker project, finding ways of improvement, looking for alternatives, explorations, new discoveries. The man in front of her was an exemplary of their research. Not perfect, but evidence of improvement and advancement.Â
From what she could see, the killing rage theyâd put into him had never really been removed completely at all. How fortunate.
How fortunate that his disregard to human life within Talonâs organization affected him in any way. It was like all of his usual moral compass were thrown out the window. âYou tried to make a cyborg with little to no disregard of anatomy. How could have that been successful.âÂ
At the very mentioned at the possible reverse he allowed himself to take pleasure in punching her right in the nose. It wasnât as satisfying as his other kills, but oh well. âYouâre an awful lair. To claim that you can reserve all of what youâve done. Does that mean you can give me my lower jaw back?â
He went to grab her face harshly. âI would love to.â
Oh how the turns have tabled.

"You have to grin and bear it. Just for now." (Shadowedroyalty)
@shadowedroyalty
âKid, the ability to grin is something I canât do anymore,â he spoke, shifting his coat over his shoulders.
He had no idea who he was, however it was a little bit terrifying that he had came up behind him so...silently? Yeah, thatâs the word for it. Darius was in town for a lecture and to go varies schools to talk about his job. However, it was still odd to first be approached with a question while on the street. One resulting in the mask he wore on his face coupled with if biomedical meddling could have harmed him in someway. Of course, this made him uncomfortable.Â
He made sure to adjust the gloves over his hands, a nervous tick nowadays. âI donât recognize you from any of my lectures or visits...whatâs your name?â

Training Time
Right now, she had left her life support off, meaning at the moment of the gas cloud some of it managed to get into her system. She gasped, instinctively using her Tunneling device to pop from the gas cloud fifteen feet away. Saving her from the needle. All the while barking a command to her suit; âTĹngfÄng kÇu hĂŠ mĂŹfÄngâ
The suit, in response quickly âexhaledâ the gasses it had taken in from the bottom of her pack, and âinhaledâ from vents on top of her pack. Before it audibly locked down, Laura gasping a bit in her suit and turning to her sparing partner. âNot bad.. But that wont work twice now.â
Perks of having a space suit like hers, it can easily seal up but the host dies within. Now she stood in her defensive stance, her shield, with no attacks coming in now, quickly recharging to itâs full capacity. This time staying in defensive, wanting her tunneling device to charge back up before she brashly moved in again.
From that Darius learned two things. One, the suit if voice activated. Two, he needed to to try and at least weaken the suit, or shut down any recharging capability. Gas wasnât going to work, but maybe if he can plant an injection into her suit to melt the wiringâŚ.
âAh, figured. Tell me is that a sealing mechanism or filtering? Mine is filter,â he spoke, actually interested at the suitâs capability. If it was sealed then⌠an injection would be perfect!
Darius placed the first syringe away, clicking a button before grabbing his pistol and running after her at full capacity. As she was recharging he had shot at what he thought would be her weaker spots. He was getting close.
âWouldnât you like you knowâ She replied, pulling her arms up over the core projector. Moving in closer to him, still rather fast even without the EVA thrusters helping her. Sheâd manage to get close enough to him, aiming to disarm him with her first punch. Even if her attack hit the gun, or his arm the knockback would be enough to make an opening. Allowing Laura to pull an uppercut into his gut with her other Starlight Boxer. Adding in the force from her hit with the power of the gauntlets, Darius at the very least would be launched off his feet
âOf course I would! Mechanics have always interested me,â he responded back. He had a death grip on his gun, the hand underneath his gun locking around the handle. However, when she hit his arm sparks seemed to fly. When she made an uppercut on his gut, despite his armor, his sensitive lungs quickly began to hurt. When he was knocked into the air and having difficulty to breathe, he smacked a button somewhere near his helmet. He landed on the ground on his back and for two seconds she could hear him breathe with a wheeze. There was a soft chime... And then suddenly he hopped back to his feet like nothing happened. With the pistol out of his hand he grabbed two daggers from his tool belt.Â
@brigetteovertroublewater
Granted, his right arm has definitely seen better days. Thatâs for sure. His last mission definitely left it rather....screwed up. He looked up at his face and then back at the table and then at his arm. There was a pause. âI wonât tie you up again, are you kidding,â he mumbled softly. âBesides, I know youâre smart. There is a real danger and you wouldnât run.â He got up from his seat and gestured her over.Â

[Closed] Mission Request
@spiderscanbehacked
The rain was heavy. It never seemed to be this heavy in Kingsrow. Granted, it was England and it rain constantly butâŚit felt so surreal now. It was funny how Overwatch plans and his own lectures seemed to line up almost perfectly. Maybe they used that to their advantage, after all who would suspect a professor from Oasis to do anything suspicious? Well, everyone, but it explained why he wasnât at his temporary office. With a hood over and cryptic respirator on, he dipped into the ally ways, finding fire escapes to climb the side of the buildings to find a ledge to sit on on the roof of the tall skyscrapers. He could see Mondattaâs statue from here.
He rested for a moment, smacking a button under his neck and taking a deep breath. Well, time to get to work. Quickly he moved to get his equipment out, placing a tablet on the ground and adding his ear piece as he hunched over the device. âCommander, E.Itur in position. Target base calculated, shall I smoke them out?â he questioned into his microphone. At first he heard a word, and then static. âE.Itur in position, permission to fire?â The static drown out in his ear, soon even piercing his right ear drum. He took it off, hearing footsteps behind him silently creep up. He blinked, feeling an invisible force hold his shoulder before appearing.Â
âAh, so youâre the nuisance,â he murmured out loud.Â
âYou flatter me, amigo.â Sombra laughed aloud, allowing her camouflage to ripple away. A spark of intel from a certain somebody had let them prepare in time and evacuate the base. Sombra on the other hand, took the time to satiate her curiosities.
She gestured towards his kit, nudging it with a toe.Â
âNo use for that now, thereâs nobody in there. Sorry about that. But a girlâs gotta do what her undead employer tells her to doâŚâ
The hacker plopped down beside him, crossing her legs and cocking her head to study his face. She reached for his comm and microphone, prodding at it in his hands.Â
âNow, I canât say weâve chatted, but I bet Iâm better company than the people in your comms.â
Darius heard the sound of the cloaking device ripple away. He already knew his mission had failed. Talon already discovered their work and well, everything was ruined.
âNot meant to flatter anyone, sweetie.â
He grabbed his tablet, already deciding to snap it in half. It was disposable, and there was no sense on letting her get the information she was looking for. âHm, so Gabe sent you?â he questioned, glancing to the side to see her face. âEven after death, he seems to want use of me.âÂ
His laugh was dry as she plopped down beside him. Darius flinched as she prodded at the ear piece. He decided to take it out with a sigh, turning to get a look at her.
âI mean, maybeâŚ. however Iâm not too keen to talk to anyone from your organization.âÂ
Sombra frowned as she watched him shatter his device. Letting out an unhappy noise, she reached out to nudge one of the pieces away with her foot, pouting.
âThat was a waste. Overwatch
She couldnât blame him for not trusting her. Besides, if he had left it intact, she would probably have stolen it. If not for the info, then for the tech.
âAww. You looked lonely, sitting there. You going to ignore my goodwill?â
âNot really. Itâs disposable,â he mocked, lowering his hood. His masked wrapped around his face, and the gas mask aspect of it covered any part of his identity. That was good.
âNo, I wonât. You are the type of member I would only be cautious of due to the nature of our two organizations,â he spoke as he looked out at the lights in the rain. âNow, there are members unlike you I would love to blast their head open. So at least youâre the lucky one.â
He wandered briefly if she knew who he was. Despite it all, his Talon files were completely wiped from their system. There was a file on what he did, the only thing they mentioned would be an unknown science due to the wipe. Overwatch only kept his alias, E.Itar, and what he did for Overwatch as a whole. There was no face recognition, nothing.Â
âYou know⌠I donât actually know who you are.â
It bothered her, but likely, it wasnât going to hurt her if she confessed. Better that she admitted than have him find out on his own.
âYou going to introduce yourself to me? I assume you already know who I am, sĂ?â
Brushing a couple pieces of tablet over the edge of the building, she hummed quietly in delight at the clinks as they hit the ground. He seemed the quiet type anyways. Sheâd give him time.
Besides, if she didnât get what she wanted today, sheâd get it the next time she got the chance.
âThatâs for the best. You can blame your leadership for that one,â he spoke, shifting s lightly from where he sat. âThe only name you need to know is E.Itur. Tis all.â
He watched as the pieces fell over the edge and hit the ground harshly, creating a wonderful visual of glass spread across brick. He was a quiet man, he had to be after all.Â
âYou know, Sombra, as someone who works discreetly you definitely like to make an appearance.â
âDude, come on. I think youâre overreacting a little bit.â ((let these two have fluff)) (talonagent-0007)
SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG @talonagent-0007
âIâm not-....Iâm not overreacting, Byte,â he said, his voice going from loud to sincere. Recently Darius has been swamped with work. Oasis college, final grades, body examinations, Overwath missions, paperwork... everything was getting to be waay too much. If his hair wasnât dyed over, he would definitely have quite a few gray hairs...and thatâs /not/ because of age.
He made âgimmie gimmieâ hand gesture towards Byte, which in their relationship so far it would mean he needed Byte with him. Close to him. Sometimes due to his mental illness he gets overstimulated and his voice doesnât work. Thus the gestures. He looked up at them with really tired eyes.
(((FINALS ARE OVER AND ITS WINTER BREAK.

âBut enough of that. You were in one of those cells once, I recall. Perhaps thatâs why youâre so bitter.â
From her bag, she drew out a small stack of papers. Long erased files sheâd requested to be unearthed.
âPerhaps youâll be of more use when the long term effects of your modifications are accounted for. They really werenât too careful with what they put into you.â
âI think youâre the one who is trying to convince yourself,â he spoke.
Something seemed to click when she said that. His eyes dilated into small circles as she pulled out the small stack of papers. Experiment 13, âProject X.â
Before she could look at him for long, he grabbed her shoulders and battered her right into a nearby wall. If she knew, if she remembered anything they did...she deserved this. That was his logic. Or his friends who remained there in Talon were talking on the down low of the once incredible chemical engineer that mysteriously disappeared. âNow tell me, what is your real reasoning of finding me?â
âAnd you believe Overwatch is aiding you in contributing? Overwatch held back the pace of scientific discovery for decades. Their ethics only hold you back. As for my work⌠thereâs not too much to it. I work, I develop weapons and I get paid.â
Now the faintest hints of teeth began to slip into her smile. But what should she have expected from an Overwatch agent? They were all the same.
âI have no friends and family, dear doctor. Perhaps you are the fool after all to think I would care for any one of my subjects. They receive the barest minimum unless they are undergoing a test. I try to eliminate confounding variables, you knowâŚâ
âOverwatch doesnât always know what I do in my spare time. Thatâs the good thing about a reforming organization, you have freedom,â he spoke, using his hand to grab her jaw. The contact was unbelievably frigid. She was on his hit list. It would be soâŚeasy.
Despite his own mask covering half his face, there was some sort of venom behind his eyes.Â
âOh, I know. But considering the people you work with would be close to family is enough. You see them worth something, but imagine such great minds are slowly being deteriorated. It happened once before, even though they wiped all evidence of itâŚand I know one day, youâre going to be in those cells. As brilliant as you think you are, youâre nothing.â His strength around her jaw increases almost effortlessly.Â
â Talon knows that, and I think you know that too. Deep down you know youâre worthless to the prime objective and thatâs why youâre all talk, Fox. However, if you were really worth something, you would at least bite a little. Youâve made no progress as far as I can tell from the time I was there,â he laughed coldly. âA little birdie even told me you had to get help from a geneticistsâŚsad really.â
Fox pried his hand casually from her jaw. There was something about his gaze, something about his stance that remained cold and firm. He wanted her dead. That much was certain.
âArrogance is as dangerous as your assumptions. I learned that a long time ago. Watch yourself, sir.â
But what he said, to some extent was true. No one was truly irreplaceable in TALON. When the time came, those who had outlived their use would be disposed of or repurposed. She could only hope she got out in time before they came for her.
âPerhaps youâve mistaken TALON for something else. No one is irreplaceable. As you were, I am. As for the geneticist⌠I provided the chemicals. Nothing more.â
âIâve seen more than you could have ever seen, understand that.â
He allowed her to pry his hand away from her jaw, however despite how âcasuallyâ she tried to make it, he made it hard on her. His metal arm seemed to lock into place for a moment, and pushing on it only nudged it slightly.Â
He laughed coldly at her threat, shaking his head. âYou continue to bark, even when i point it out. I would be surprised if you actually tried to bite back once!â
Dariusâ eyes narrowed at her. He slowly took his gloves off, revealing the designs and the machine that worked with him for his day life. âNo, they arenât,â he hissed clearly. âNow, soldiers are replaceable. I can agree with you there. However, scientists, and those who of us in the bigger picture? All irreplaceable. Youâre just tape trying to mask a hole.â
Captive /captor starters @brigetteovertroublewater âWhat is the point of kidnapping me anyway?â
@brigetteovertroublewater
âSadly, my job and one of my commanders are the one to blame. I really donât have a reason to want or kidnap you,â he sighed softly as he walked around the room, grabbing some of his old medical tools and sanitizing them. He sat not too far from her as he went through his tools, the front of his body facing her.
âIâm the one who does the normal kidnapping for the organization, sadly. Just think of this as aâŚprotection program?â Â
âYou know Iâm just a mechanic right?â She asked watching him move around the room âjust do engineering and iron workâ she hadnât anything worth wanting unless these people wanted her broken down van. All she had was her van and scrap.
âIf these people want money your going to be disappointedâ she had nothing in her bank account. She joked she had a lot of zeros in her balance just nothing in front of them. She wiggled in her chair trying to get comfortable, she failed. âOr is it my surname that they want!â She asked guessing it had to be papa they really needed or wanted.
He let out a soft laugh, nodding gently. âOh, yes, I know youâre just a mechanic. Honestly, I was about to ask if you could check out my right arm, itâs not moving as smoothly as I would like. Overwatchâs mechanics arenât the best at the Oasis base.â He placed the syringe off to the side before moving on to his surgical knives. Despite not being a medic anymore, his studies really liked the materials.Â
Darius allowed her to guess her way through before nodding at the surname. âWell, sort of,â he spoke as he looked up at her. âIâm apart of the Nordic region as well, and believe me when I say that they definitely want you and your fatherâs perseverance on a âtop secret bullshitâ machine or whatever. So, why not kidnap you first before they could kidnap you?â He let out a soft snort as he watched her attempt to make herself comfortable.Â
âIf you slam the cuffs against the chair, theyâll break. I think theyâre made of a plastic or something.âÂ
âWhy are you telling me how to break free?â She questioned worrying it might be some form of bluff. She broke free heâd attack, its what sheâd do given the choice. 'Iâll look at your arm, if you free me from this chairâ she wasnât going to make any movements that would give him reason to hurt her.
'Have you never heard of cushionsâ she muttered feeling sore from the hard seat.
He stopped with his cleaning and looked at her in a long pause of silence. âBecause, believe it or not, I think restricting someone is bullshit unless there is a reason to. The only reason why I tied you up was so you donât attack me and take off before I could explain the situation.âÂ
He got up slowly, already moving to her chair. He sat down in front of her, cutting the almost paper like rope. He looked up at her, his icy eyes looking into her own when he delivers his next statement. âTrust me when I say this, but if you were caught by the other guysâŚ.I guarantee you, you wonât even be able to remember why you have that tattoo on your left shoulder.â
He moved away and went to loosen the cuffs, before finally letting everything turn slack as he stood up behind her. Dariusâ hands grabbed the back of the chair, and he leaned forward slightly. âWhatâs a cushion?â he asked in a mocking fashion.
'If you werenât holding me against my will I think we could get alongâ she said rubbing her freed wrists she looked at him. For some unknown reason she belived him, about the other people. She could easily over power him now she was free but she knew better then to risk it. If she was going to get out of here he was her best hope of doing it in one piece.
'If you have some tools I can look at that armâ she looked around the room waiting to stand so he didnât see it as some threat. In her head she kept repeating what sheâd been taught by Reinhardt. Donât give them any reason to lash out, try and show your no threat. 'You didnât bring mine when you kidnapped meâ
âDonât blame me, Iâm just the guy doing his job. Blame the commander,â he spoke, letting out a soft hum as he looked at her from above. Darius was going to try and protect her, that was his mission and apart of his moral guidelines. Talon was looking everywhere for Torb, Reinhardt, and anyone in association with them. He couldnât let Brigette get hurt by what they would do to her. He knew first hand what they would do to her.Â
He nodded and walked over to a locked drawer. He took the necklace around his neck and pulled it upward to reveal a key.
