Moira’s family refuses to contact her.

This isn’t just the typical “you’re a supervillain” kind of cutoff mostly because her connection to Talon (in my eyes) is rather secret with her “main” work being at Oasis. This is a petty “you left the family in our time of need” kind of cutoff.

Despite being the most successful out of her three other siblings, she is the only one to leave the little town they grew up in. Since The Crisis, she hasn’t been home. To her parents and siblings, it only seemed fair.

Of course, it doesn’t affect her. At least that’s what she says. But all those holidays without even a call can really do a number on someone.

"Eat your sandwich."

For a while Moira stared down at the sandwich that had been provided. She looked so very uninterested and when she finally looked at Sombra, she squints her eyes in a condescending manner.

“What are you on about, Sombra?” She doesn’t trust her. Not with anything and especially not with her food. Sure, it was nice to her to give her something to eat, but there had to be more to this simple dish.

“Did you put something in this? Here.” Her long fingers pluck up a piece of the bread before offering it to the hacker. “You take a bite first.”

“You’re a monster.”

She should have expected it in all honesty. A clever girl such as Sombra could easily dig up what she had done, all the way from rabbits to a ballerina. Yet, at her words, she could only chuckle and shake her head. How naïve of her.

“A monster? I think you forget what you, yourself, have done. I am making advancements in the field of science that some can only dream of. You? Oh, our sweet Sombra.”

Moira reached out and touched a crooked, purple nail to her nose.

“You’re a pesky bug. I don’t like you, and you don’t like me. But, for now? You’ll have to endure it.”

A lengthy sigh leaves the scientist as two fingers move to rub her forehead.

“She is–” Moira begins. “An annoyance and frustrating. I could be in the middle of something extremely important and the next thing I know she is trying to boop my nose. I am always half tempted to just jam a needle into her to see what the outcome would be. However…” She lowers her arm. “She is useful and skilled in what she does. Perhaps even the best yet I wouldn’t trust her as far as I can throw her. She is no doubt up to no good.”
