Cliff, for the most part, didn’t really think things through before actually doing them, but even he knew that with the reason as to why everybody came together that night, it wasn’t unusual for people to bring their kids for the spirit of camaraderie, or whatever it was the mayor kept going on about. That was one of the reasons why he was trying his best to be subtle about taking out a flask as he watched the guy on stage with his bagpipes. Even though he had a lot of plans to completely engage himself in all of the activities, he figured he couldn’t go through tonight without even just a little bit of alcohol in him. Cliff turned to the side as he brought the flask closer to his lips only to lock eyes with someone and he sheepishly grinned. “Okay, you caught me. Mind keeping it on the downlow, though? Pretty sure the last thing I need tonight is one of these parents up my ass about not being a ‘good example’ for their kids,” Cliff said with a chuckle.

The car shop was finally empty. Not that it had been a busy day, generally, but the new mechanic that the management hired, who Danny had responsibility of training, was all but useful. He didn’t even know the difference between simple things, such as when Danny asked him for the pliers, he went and handed him the wrench, and handed it like the dude knew what he was doing. And his oil changes were shit, allowing the oil to drip near the engine, instead of steadily pouring it where it needed to go – and that was after Danny had to double-check to see if it was the right oil to begin with. He was glad it was over, sighing heavily as he made his way out, a grease-stained cigarette in between his lips as the setting sun greeted him, eyes landing on someone approaching; “shop’s closed. You here to have your car looked at?”

HE DIDN’T FEEL LIKE HE HAD THE RIGHT TO CALL HIMSELF WOUNDED. Not when there were people inside that building, fighting for their lives when all Santi had gotten was a bullet skimming across his arm when his reflexes had failed him.

The sudden gunfire had startled him. Startled him to the point of being frozen to the spot, physically unable to move until his brand new injury snapped him back into reality and he had the sense to take cover. He figured it had such an effect on him because he wasn’t expecting it. At all. When Santiago was handling a weapon, it was usually in a planned situation and he had his Disciple brothers watching his six, as he would watch theirs. But tonight was them being stabbed in the back, so to speak.

Santi’s stomach lurched then, as he headed outside, and he hardly made it to his bike before he was doubled over on the sidewalk, feeling like what food he had eaten that night would be making a reappearance. Not even able to pull himself up onto his bike, he composed himself as best he could and sat down on the sidewalk, next to his bike, head in his hands, knowing exactly what he wanted to do, but also having his mind know that going after anybody right now, on his own, would be a very, very bad idea. Fred - or his mom - would kill him if he bit the dust.

She arrived and parked her car heading in, but someone caught her eye. The man looked like he might be injured or sick and she decided to go see what she could do for him. SHe approached carefully, not wanting to spook him. “Hello, did you need some help?” She asked him as she got closer, trying to make sure he heard her on approach.

                              Lev wasn’t a fan of suits. He only had a couple stored, saved for special occasions. He couldn’t decide exactly what deemed the particular night as special in his book, though, except for the fact he’d put it on to get drunk all by himself. That wasn’t to say the man couldn’t handle his liquor — he’d built a high tolarance for it before he was even allowed to drink legally. The only issue there was, he wasn’t supposed to indulge in more than what he could handle, what he could wash off with a long, dreamless sleep. The lifestyle he’d chosen didn’t leave any room for that sort of missteps. Hell, he knew he had to wake up at dawn and spend the following day training because he had another fight at midnight. And, in between, there was only room for club business. The blond man knew he’d embrace the physical pain and exhaustion when it came, like he had for the past twenty years. But right there and then, as he stepped out of the bar with a few drinks in his system that didn’t manage to get Rowan off his mind, he was pissed. How come that an outlaw felt trapped into the cage of his own choices? He couldn’t distract himself with boose, he couldn’t tire himself too thin yet, he couldn’t talk to a friend about the dead end where he’d pushed himself, and he couldn’t stop thinking about someone he could never have the way he wanted. He needed to pull himself back onto the surface, but distance and silence didn’t seem to work their usual magic. If he truly needed to lose himself, just for one night… A different approach was in order. Within a blink, he decided he should seek for someone that could help him. Someone that had, in the past.

Her and Lev had a lot of fun together over the years, but it had been a while since she had heard from him. Lev was one of the few men in her life she had kept around, Most of the time the fun she had, the indulgences she took, there once or twice, most people couldn’t handle what she and Edward had. She learned young that men caught feelings just as quick and sometimes quicker than woman and so she rarely kept them around. But her and Lev, they always had an understanding and it worked. She slide her finger across the phone accepting his call before bringing it to her ear and speaking. “You know, I had almost thought you had lost my number. It’s been awhile handsome.” She told him a smirk playing at her lips.
