🔪OC CENTRIC FIC🧹
CHOPPED MEAT
CHAPTER 2
The more the weeks and months rolled by, i felt myself fall head over heels for him. Maybe it might’ve been his way of lightening up a room? I don’t know, i can’t let myself catch feelings since i know i have enough on my plate, i hope he knows that i do enjoy being around him now.
Soon enough, we began switching our jobs a little when we did have shifts together. He seemed odd about it and more.. enjoying of it, it was weird yeah, but i already knew the guy enough—i think?
He grinned while he severed the parts of animals, i usually had to hold back on throwing up all over myself and the board but he just smiled like this was the best day of his life. Maybe it was cause of what happened to me and my dad before.. it’s still odd to me though nonetheless. Even my boss seemed slightly more intimidated of him and gave him a grunt in agreement every-time he chirped up that he could work extra hours.
The customers seemed to like his energy though so my boss kept him around cause of that, he needed a good reputation of having nice customer service.
Maybe i’m just too gloomy or something so he needed someone to balance it out.
I can’t blame him.
After my longer shift, i began walking home, keeping a steady pace and enjoying the slight breeze. It was nice to get that fresh breath of air after a long day and i needed to recharge, i hope my friend didn’t mind me taking a bit longer—it made me feel a bit bad though because i knew how they were about taking care of my dad.
The more i walked, i felt someone trailing behind me and then got a chill.
I swiveled around to face whatever was following me.
“Who’s there?!”
….
Nothing.
That was odd, i could’ve sworn i heard footsteps behind me—maybe it was an animal or something.
I kept walking home, taking in a deep breath to relax then finally reached the doorstep of my house.
