⠀ The Head Start preschool program has been helping children for over 60 years. It was put in place to ensure that the children of America's poorest families get what they need (English, math, health, social skills) to be successful when they move on to kindergarten, helping to end the cycle of poverty, which everyone agrees is a good thing — except for Republicans. Project 2025, the far-right's playbook, calls for the total elimination of Head Start. They want Americans to be poorly educated because they tend to vote Republican. "We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated." ~Donald Trump Also, they're willing to work for lower wages which huge corporations are eager to exploit. Republicans don't want Americans to be educated, so they're targeting our youngest and most vulnerable — the littlest children living in poverty. No low is too low for Republicans.
