Things move quickly around here. At e-commerce speed and so, we need someone who can stay on their toes with us. Google calls it googleyness we just call it Kanye's work out plan. We like to succeed together and hold onto the belief that good vibes brings good business. So will you tango with us?Â
Job title:
Social Media ManagerÂ
Job description:
Manage three accounts, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Would post up to eight posts per day (mostly on Twitter).
The social media manager would also respond to any inquiries by customers, media, etc. within a max of 12 hours (excluding holidays and weekends -- then it may be a max of 48 hours). This person would also make a point of engaging with the online community each day; so if it's a community for artists, then the social media manager would interact with artist bloggers at least 1-2x/day. So there is a large marketing component of this service as well.
Overall we're talking about roughly 5-6 hours of work each week, with a max of 8.
Location:Â
Position does not require a physical location, but ask that you be located within the larger Los Angeles area.Â

The Fresh Prince of Street Art
If you have a tendency to check up on the street-art scene, chances are youâve heard the name Skyler Grey. The 13-year-old street artist is rising to the top as one of the freshest faces of street art. His first solo art show, held at Lab Art LA on September 19th, was a tremendous success. Hosted by Daphne Wayans, the show brought in many art-loving individuals including celebrities such as: The Game, Chad Muska, Paloma Mariaella and many prominent artists including; Ash Hudson, Annie Preece, and Sand One.
We caught up with the young artist after the show to talk about his rising star, his inspirations, and his future.
So this was your first solo art show. How does it feel being thirteen and already having had your first show?
Skyler Grey: It feels good, I feel honored. Iâm thankful to the gallery owner for believing in a kid that had a dream. It feels good being thirteen and having an art show, people keep telling me âit all starts now,â and Iâm very excited. Iâm also very thankful for my dad; none of this would have been possible if it wasnât for him. Has your dad been a big influence in your career?
SG: Yes. When I was about nine years old we went to a Kehinde Wiley art show together. I remember seeing big and beautiful backgrounds and bright colors and I told him thatâs what I wanted to do. Heâs also the one who told me if I want to be the best I have to learn from the best. Kehinde Wiley is now my favorite artist.
Who are some of your other inspirations and role models? SG: Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, and Keith Haring. Iâm also inspired by the world; the clothes on your back, and even the gum on the street inspire me. I look up to my father a lot, and my assistant Andre. As you become more successful at a young age, do you feel that you will be doing this for the rest of your life?
SG: I see myself going to Yale to study art as well as expanding my art and learning new things. For example, I want to learn how to do fine oil paintings.
Skyler says his art contains cultural messages about fame and appearances. His Mickey Mouse paintings, he explains, portray Mickey Mouse as a struggling actor, being âbeat up by the streets,â before becoming famous with Disney. Another piece called âNight After the Grammyâsâ shows a Barbie doll that doesnât look so perfect. âYou see celebrities going to the Grammys, for example, all dressed up looking beautiful and made-up but you never see the day after,â he continues to say that Barbieâs makeup is not done right and one of her eyes is blocked as to portray the true realities of fame. Listening to him talk about his art in terms of cultural messages makes one forget his age. Even with all of his incredible accomplishment, Skyler says he definitely is a regular kid, who loves to play basketball, play video games, and of course- paint.
When asked whatâs next for him, he laughs and says, âIâm in high school. The sky is the limit. Anything is next for me.â
