she takes a sip of the poured drink and holds back the cough it triggers in the back of her throat. she’d only ever been allowed a little wine now and then, even now at adriana’s she’d dabbled solely in fruity cocktails the warlock created. this had a burn that she was embarrassed to say was unexpected. taking another sip ( less sharp this time ) she clears her throat and lets out a low sigh. what always had her questioning the world around her ?? her daughter. “faith.” the seelie says slowly, gnawing on her bottom lip. “i just…i don’t want to bring her up in a world i know nothing about.”
It was easy to forget that not everyone who looked young was centuries old, and as Kat heard the Seelie cough at the sharp liquor her eyes widened, “Shit..I forgot…” Jumping up, she almost dived behind the bar to grab a bottle of orange juice, her mind automatically going to her brother and how he would probably murder her before morning came if he heard about this. Sitting back, she tried to play it cool, pouring barely a few drops into her own glass before filling the rest of Graces. “Makes sense. I wish I could give you more than..well nothing really. But I can ask a few of the fae I know, see if they have any books or things?”
eyes widen as kat leaps out of her seat but a relieved smile quickly replaces the bewilderment as the mermaid returns with juice. she hates the thought that she is an inconvenience but admittedly she is glad for something to weaken her drink. taking another sip ( it is much sweeter now ) she nods gratefully. "I'd appreciate that. i've considered going to...to the source...." the best information about her kind would come from the queen. "but so many people have said seelies can't be trusted. that they trick people."
