Nature has one rule - survival of the fittest. God's rule is Love your neighbor as yourself. They're at opposite ends of the moral spectrum.

Ethics don't come from secularism. They survive in spite of it, not because of it.

Part of the problem with that is that the only place the phrase "brother's keeper" shows up in the bible is when one brother is trying to dodge the murder wrap of another brother. His basic point is right in the sense that Christianity certainly believes that we should love one another and the Golden Rule and all those sorts of things, and that's all fair and fine. It doesn't say that in order to love one another as if they are your brother, you should support a bloated, inefficient government program."
