She cupped her mouth in an attempt to control her breathing, as if she could stuff all the oxygen back into her lungs that they couldn’t pull in themselves. Her nails dug into the edge of her mouth as she gripped. It was suffocating, pure panic. Was Max leaving her? She had be so dismissive lately. Victoria had tried to assure herself it was because she was busy but this had been the last straw, her anxiety couldn’t take it.

Her phone rang and suddenly the muteness of the world brightened again. Relief. It was instant and very welcomed. The blonde’s hands fumbled as she reached out with both of them to grab her phone, colliding and tossing it off the bed. “Shit!”

She moved her and picked up, taking a deep breath before checking her text messages. Suddenly another wave of anxiety hit her. Maybe this was the one the text she was afraid of. Victoria shook her head and checked it and she let out a held breath. God, she definitely needed a smoke after this. Max apologized and said she was Chloe’s because of some emergency and that she would be back tomorrow. She smiled.

“Np, max! c u tmrrw <3 hope evrythngs ok!”

Victoria stood under the overhand of Two Whales while it poured, tapping a manicured finger against her cigarette, dumping the ashes onto the wet soil beneath her. She was slightly anxious, waiting for the girl to arrive. Wouldn’t it have been more appropriate to offer a ride? Idiot. She sighed and took another drag before toss the remaining into the trash. The blonde stayed out in the cold for a little longer, careful not to get any stains on her grey jeans. She wrapped her jacket tighter around, hoping the cold air would dampen the smell of fresh cigarette smoke.

Eyes darted towards the sound of a bus stopping, she stepped out into the rain to look down the street, seeing if she could spot people unloading from the bus. She smiled and waved, greeting Steph as she walked up to her.

"Hey nerd.” She said a little coldly out of reflex, though it was missing her usual venom. “Took you long enough to show up.” Victoria headed inside, taking off her jacket after they were seated at one of the booths. “Guess I should’ve let you ride in my car.”

God please give me a Nathan, I would love to roleplay with one. The dynamic and tension between the two is so interesting and I love them to death. My other wish would be a Steph but @gamcrsteph has my back on that one <3

Do they have any distinct voice mannerisms? (e.g. saying ‘like’ or ‘um’ a lot, stutters)

Victoria furrows her eyebrows a lot, and a lot of her meaning is conveyed through body language. It actually makes her a very hard character for me, personally. Her tone is rather static, she has a few tones to her voice that really only serve to accentuate what her body is conveying. It’s very practiced and almost mechanical while at the same time being rather fluid. She isn’t a natural fit for the school yard bully role, but she will get up in your face and tower over you to make you seem small and insignificant. At the same time her motions can and will betray her, especially if she’s not working toward some goal when talking to someone. Most of the impact of her words come from her body language and it’s hard to write that. Either it gets too wordy trying to describe what Victoria is doing or there’s not enough and it’s slight out of character. Of course this is just how I choose to portray Victoria, and by no means is it a constant across any other Vic rpers.

Who was your muse’s first kiss?

I had to think really hard about this. Really it’s one of two things for me, either it’s Rachel or nobody. In the former, I’ve always had a HC that she had some kind of relationship with Rachel that ended up making Victoria feel very used once she either disappeared or ended things with her. Given the events in Before the Storm so far, it doesn’t really seem like that’s the case, but I’m trash so I’m keeping it anyways.
