felicity couldn’t look up at him. the more that the doctor’s words sunk in, the further that she wanted to withdraw. this wasn’t her life. she could barely make it on her own with less than favorable ways of making money. this was felicity’s biggest fear come true. she was going to be like her mother. she shrugged her shoulders. it came off as lifeless and unenthused. even as sarcastic and deadpan as she was, this was a different side of her. “… i don’t know… i mean, there is always adoption…? ” her voice was void of any emotion. felicity was zoned out in shock and worry.

He took a deep breath as she talked about adoption, Chase really was not sure what he was going to do. In all, it did not matter what he thought, it was Felicity’s body and she had every right to make the decision on her own. He managed to stand, even though his legs felt like jello and offered her is hand. “Let’s get out of here and go and get some ice cream.” He realized she wasn’t even really paying attention. “We’ll talk it over when we get there.”
