Chase's Simblr!

If I don’t have a specific idea in mind for a townie I want to make, I’ve been using a randomizing method that has served me pretty well so far and helps me get more unique genetics instead of just using the unaltered template features over and over. It’s a little long-winded but hopefully not too much.

I WAS going to make this for personal use, but I mean….hell. I’ve gotten a message asking how I edit my shots and since I may start using this baby, I’ll go on and share it ahead of time. Bleh.

Sorry for the crappy previews! It looks the same as every other TS2 PSD, really. That aside, let’s get to it. Keep in mind that I am terrible at explaining things.

There are three groups inside of the main group labeled gradient, brightness, and selective color.

The gradient group has three gradient maps included: the notorious circle gradient, a horizontal gradient, and another circle gradient transparent in the middle in case you don’t want that whiteness.

The brightness group has the usual: Saturation, Brightness, and a color fill layer of #aeaeae (which is like a really light grey.)

And lastly, the selective color group contains selective coloring layers of all the colors EXCEPT for Whites, Neutrals, and Blacks.

Keep in mind that this PSD may look a little extreme on some images, so feel free to play around with the layer types and opacity!

***This was made in Photoshop CS3, and many of you probably have newer versions anyway, so it should work.

As promised: The Red Art Deco House

A mix of Art Deco, Victorian and Modern. 3 floors with plenty of space for your sims, 4-5 bedrooms (one on the ground floor might be a better hobby room, but this is up to you), bathrooms on every floor, pool, garage. Completely unfurnished on the inside.

What you should know:

I have all EPs and SPs.

Changes: I deleted some plants and planters as well as minor deco stuff, to not clutter up your DL folder. I changed the poolladder and indoor arches to Maxis ones, because the ones I used wouldn’t package properly.

I used Reyn’s open-underneath version of Numenor’s deck stairs. It is packaged with the lot, but to show up in your deck stairs section for future use you must have installed it properly via Scriptorium. In this house it will work fine even if you didn’t do this. It didn’t pack any recolors with it, so the stairs will show the Maxis default dark brown wood. I have literally a hundred of recolors for the steps, so I couldn’t find out which ones I used.

The lot is playtested - with a copy. It has never been inhabited. All areas should be accessible for sims. Redundant recolors have been cleaned out, but I might have missed one or two. The included mesh for the 4esf ceiling rim is edited by me, I made it shiftable (only downwards, since it is already on top of a wall - but this function isn’t needed for this house)

I included a folder with master files that wouldn’t pack with the used slaved files and are needed in order to let them show up properly. If something is missing or not working, let me know - especially, since this is my first lot upload and I hope I’m doing this right.
