time blocking method
Hi all, this is werelivingarts, a new post about time management method: TIME BLOCKING! Time blocking allows you to divide your day into big blocks and helps you to complete similar tasks in one-go without any interruptions!Â
You can do your time blocking on:
Google Calendar (simple and easy to use)
Plan (drag your to-do list and organize them in blocks)
TickTick Premium (offer pomodoro timer)
Hope you find this helpful! âď¸

As most people are working and studying from home right now, I wanted to share some concrete, implementable ways you can help yourself feel better. Though I believe productivity and quantity of work done (or lack thereof) doesnât/shouldnât translate into your self-worth and how you view yourself, when you get work done, you actually do feel better in your own body.Â
By the way, itâs the first time Iâm formatting a tips/guide post like this, so I apologize that I couldnât be more concise.
Iâve spoken to a licensed professional counsellor as well as to some professionals who have been working from home for a long time, and some of the advice above is from them. Iâm also sharing from my own experience as someone who used to be very productive and an (ex-)overachiever, and still attach a lot of my self-worth to grades and other tangible accomplishments. I hope these slides can help you. In case itâs hard to read, Iâve included it (reworded) in text form if youâd like to read more.Â
Keep reading

Acadamia Romance Aesthetics:
Classic: reading your favorite books out loud to each other, blooming red roses, neat notebook full of thoughts and ideas, small unexpected gifts, midday cafe dates, walking under a shared umbrella in the rain, delicate milk chocolate, earl grey and green tea, reading quietly on park benches, plaid patterns
Light: peppermints during study sessions, early morning cuddles, soft sunlight coming through the windows, inspirational messages on sticky notes, string tied on your finger so you don't forget something important, 'i love you' texts during the day, nature soundtracks playing in the background, fruit teas and water, thin framed glasses
Dark: rainy days spent inside snuggling, handwritten love letters on your doorstep, vinyl records playing classical music, borrowing each other's cozy sweaters on chilly days, warming up under knitted blankets, cups of black tea/coffee, late night phone calls, philosophical debates, museum dates, binging crime shows on Netflix
Art: stolen kisses in public, a rainbow after a storm, love poems on beautiful stationary, art museum dates, dried paint on your hands, sketch books filled with drawings, lost in your thoughts, late night talks, coffee with cream, pressed flowers, light refracting through a prism, sun showers, motivational quotes on sticky notes, sunflowers and daisies
Romantic: daydreaming of each other, reading romance novels and poetry, passionate kisses in the dark, breakfast in bed, slow dancing to no music, picnic dates in soft meadows, forehead kisses, lace trim and delicate fabric, reading each others writing, swooning

Choose your academia!
academia things that genuinely make me happy
large textbooks filled with extra papers which hold the answers to the problems you thought were too brilliant to be thrown away, or the simple short summary of a part you were struggling to understand before
having your textbook absolutely ruined by highlighters and sticky notes all over it, those little tips and ideas you picked up from the lesson. anyone who opens that book immediately knows that youâve studied the crap out of it and know the concept by heart. âthis is the most annotated book iâve ever seenâ is literally the highest form of compliment for me.
solving math or chemistry problems to a soundtrack album or ambient sounds, extra points if itâs in afternoon lol
when youâre so focused and keen on getting to the final answer that your hand physically canât keep up with your eagerness so you end up with the most incoherent solution. but youâve finally got the answer right!
being self-taught in a subject or a few chapters of the textbook, and still smashing the quizzes and the exams
coming up with a new solution to the problem, or seeing the problem from a new perspective, and finally being able to solve it because of just that.
confidently walking out of the exam room. 0 doubt in your mind that you crushed it!
actually feeling how youâve grown academically, and how much more knowledgeable you are compared to the beginning of the semester
casually and confidently having conversations with a professor about your studies, exchanging ideas and discussing the existing theories, methods, on-going research and all
all of this is everything i want in life- godÂ
