       after  bidding  goodbyes  with  aeri,  keon  had  made  sure  to  take  a  longer  route  to  the  underground,  just  in  case  the  femme  wanted  to  make  notes  of  which  corner  he'd  turn  at.  so  reaching  the  club,  he's  quick  to  greet  some  of  the  usuals  there,  bumping  shoulders  with  them  as  a  greeting  before  he  got  a  microphone  thrown  his  way,  his  name  being  mentioned  on  the  speakers  and  echoing  through  the  cement  walled  room.  a  beat  that  he  worked  on  back  when  a  trainee  was  playing,  words  beginning  to  fall  from  his  lips  as  he  rapped  to  the  tunes,  completely  immersed  in  it  as  he  loved  the  people  in  the  crowd  jumping,  whistling  or  shouting  encouraging  words.  this,  this  was  the  closest  he'd  ever  be  getting  on  the  fame  he  worked  hard  to  reach.

kept herself hidden though , didn’t want to ruin this moment for him . didn’t want him to know she’d followed him —- knew such was wrong in itself . but she was grateful to see him in his element . could barely keep the grin off her face as she stayed amongst the shadows but as some creep came and pressed his hand against the wall cornering her , she politely tried to dip away only for him to take hold of her wrist , ❛ oh , come on sweetheart —- all the ladies are after him , you won’t stand a chance ! ❜ alcohol on his breath made her shudder , dilated pupils showcasing he was on something a lot harder alongside it . but her heart twisted hearing he was a ladies man —- did he get with girls down here ? was he really out here living his hannah montana dreams ?! ❛ why not let me buy you a drink , cutie —- ? ❜

Haewon scoffed at the ridiculous question. "You under estimate how cute you are sometimes. Of course it will look great on you!" She knelt on the floor to set the shoes down, gesturing for Aeri to try them on to walk around in them first before buying. Too many times had the heiress tolerated uncomfortable shoes for the sake of fashion and she wouldn't let her precious younger sister figure suffer the same pain. "If you like these, you'll wear the outfit out of the store. I want everyone to admire the fit! Like you said, it's giving french."

༊⋆｡˚                       oh , she was truly flattering her —- so much so that she didn’t think she deserved any of it . but her gratitude was reeling . stepping into the shoes , wiggling toes for that extra stretch room before taking a glance in the mirror , she gasped . ❛ i feel like a princess ! these are absolutely perfect —- they’re definitely the ones ! ❜ clasped hands , a flurry of giggles and an excitably wiggle told the other e v e r y t h i n g she needed to know . ❛ did you think of a restaurant yet ? ❜

           as  the  dense,  suffocating  walls  closed  in  around  her,  jia's  view  of  everything  beyond  them  was  completely  obstructed.  at  this  point,  all  she  could  rely  on  were  audio  cues—  though  even  those  were  fragmented,  making  it  impossible  to  piece  together  what  was  truly  happening.  she  couldn't  tell  what  was  real  and  what  was  a  product  of  her  adrenaline-fueled  imagination.  for  a  brief  moment,  even  her  hearing  failed  her,  replaced  by  a  sharp  ringing  that  drowned  out  everything  else.  but  just  as  quickly  as  chaos  erupted,  it  faded  into  eerie  silence.  only  then  did  she  finally  open  her  eyes,  blinking  as  she  scanned  her  surroundings,  until  her  gaze  landed  on  the  small  figure  collapsed  on  the  ground.  "  aeri  .  .  "  her  voice  wavered  as  she  scrambled  forward  on  all  fours,  eyes  darting  over  the  other  girl  to  assess  the  damage.  "  fuck,  no,  but  you're  hurt.  "  her  attention  immediately  went  to  the  torn  fabric  of  aeri's  clothes.  without  hesitation,  she  peeled  off  her  oversized  leather  jacket  and  carefully  draped  it  over  her.  "  i  don't  know  what  just  happened,  but  .  .  thank  you.  "  the  words  left  her  in  a  whisper  as  she  carefully  wrapped  her  arms  around  aeri.  "  can  you  sit  up  ?  we  need  to  get  you  somewhere  safe  .  .  immediately.  "

༊⋆｡˚                       the fox had never protected anybody but herself before —- and even then , it was only because she was its human vessel . without her , the vulpine wouldn’t have a physical form —- a being to transform into . couldn’t fully gauge the complexities surrounding it ; had studied for years but to no avail . but this woman —- she truly must’ve been something special ? half lidded gaze flickered over her from , a desperate relief washing over her . ❛ did the fox hurt you at all ? ❜ her first question . there was no point denying such now , had seen it with her own eyes . choked sob emanating from natural pout as the warmth of her leather jacket hit bruised flesh —- an endearing action . as she was pulled into tender embrace , weak appendages wrap around femme in a mere attempt of return . ❛ there’s a hotel up ahead . we need to hide and plan the next move —- this won’t be the last of them . ❜ pulled back , mocha gaze doe like as always , had only just met this girl and felt a connection she couldn’t quite put her finger on . ❛ let’s talk behind closed doors .. we can’t risk peeping toms . ❜ agonising effort to stand fully but she did so , breathed through the atrocities inflicted but the demon had taken the most lethal hits . ❛ let’s go .. ❜

            jihye  remains  frozen  in  the  hallway,  trying  to  catch  her  breath  and  process  what  just  happened  between  her  and  aeri.  her  heart  still  pounds  in  her  chest  as  she  lowers  her  head,  exhaling  sharply.  "  keep  calm,  kim  jihye,  "  she  mutters  under  her  breath,  a  warning  meant  for  herself.  shaking  it  off,  she  straightens  up.  "  okay,  let's  get  some  snacks,  shall  we  ?  "  with  that,  she  strides  into  the  kitchen,  grabbing  whatever  catches  her  eye.  arms  quickly  filling  with  snack  packages  as  she  clumsily  juggles  them.  returning  to  her  room,  she  clears  her  throat,  as  if  to  ensure  she  sounds  composed,  before  announcing,  "  snacks  for  you,  m'lady.  "  she  dumps  everything  onto  the  bed  with  a  dramatic  flair,  then  glances  over,  trying  to  act  casual.  "  should  we  watch  a  movie  or  something  ?  "  after  all,  that's  what  people  do  at  sleepovers  .  .  right  ?

༊⋆｡˚                       as the other came back into the room , aeri sprang up sheepishly like a jack in a box but it was obvious she’d been having an ecstatic moment —- so much for her cool demeanour .. that she was pretty sure wouldn’t have come across anyway . at the sight of the snacks , her eyes lit up like magical saucers . an absolute fiend for food and she wasn’t ashamed to show it . a happy wiggle as she practically launched for the popcorn before turning her full attention to femme —- hamster cheeks a go ! ❛ are you suggesting netflix and chill ms kim ? ❜ smirking as she ruthlessly teased her , that nose scrunch evident . despite her own words though , she’d clearly had some effect on herself , the rosy hue dusting her cheeks and the butterflies erupting within . ❛ a kiss or two wouldn’t go a miss —- ❜ the dramatics starting up once more as she placed back of hand against forehead and fell back into the sheets , ❛ oh , let’s watch a horror film so you can protect me ! ❜

the other's words made emi laugh lightly, amused by the idea of herself really looking for love and a proper relationship. " oh baby, of course anyone would be lucky to have me, i know that. " the model joked around, showing the confidence she always always walked around with like it was her armor. " i'm just not really looking to settle down with anyone, i'm too young for that and life is way too short. i like things the way they are now, but i appreciate you're encouragement and support. you're very sweet~ " emi hummed, looking at her with a smile.

༊⋆｡˚                       simply adored her —- the essence of confidence that aeri could only aspire to have one of these days . perhaps such came with the perks of the job but she was f a s c i n a t e d nonetheless . as they grabbed a drink at a nearby cafè before making their way slowly over to the class , the younger hummed before taking a small sip and nearly scalding her mouth . a dramatic display of ouchies .. before she took another one . didn’t learn . ❛ i always wonder if i’m just unlucky in love ? everytime i go on dates —- they ghost me ! ❜ had to laugh about it , despite the yearning ache deep within . ❛ i must be doing something wrong ! ❜

           jia  was  no  stranger  to  death.  growing  up  in  such  unfortunate  conditions,  she  had  been  surrounded  by  it,  always  wondering  if  her  time  would  come  next.  this  felt  like  one  of  those  moments.  the  sound  of  guns  cocking,  a  man's  voice  giving  the  order  to  fire—  she  knew  she  was  done  for.  especially  after  hearing  aeri  explain  her  situation,  making  it  clear  this  was  beyond  her  control,  all  jia  could  do  was  brace  for  impact,  cursing  herself  for  ever  ending  up  here.  but  then,  something  impossible  happened.  so  surreal,  it  made  her  question  if  she  was  already  slipping  into  the  afterlife.  yet,  realization  struck—  this  was  real.  aeri  did  it.  of  course,  no  mortal  could  witness  such  a  sight  and  not  flee  in  terror.  jia  felt  that  same  instinct,  but  beneath  the  menacing  sight  of  it  all,  she  knew  aeri  was  there.  her  gaze  followed  the  men  scrambling  away,  but  one  remained  in  an  attempt  to  put  on  a  brave  facade,  gun  still  raised,  aimed  at  the  creature  before  her.  "  no  !  "  her  voice  tore  through  the  darkness,  a  desperate  plea,  praying  that  whatever  was  about  to  happen  wouldn't  hurt  aeri.

༊⋆｡˚                       gunshots ricocheted , grazing skin of the demon but it healed almost i m m e d i a t e l y . a tightening barrier of tails surrounding jia , a fluffy haven in contrast to the violence among the outside . the man who tried to put on a brave face stared up at it but one swipe of paw had his body shredded into a multitude of parts , claw slicing through & blood splattering everywhere . that was when the men began to bolt ; deceptive of two young woman —- oh , how wrong could they have been . yet , one more catastrophic motion had them joining the same fate . deafening silence descended ‘pon wooded area —- a crime scene not for the faint hearted and a not one to be traced back to a human . bright blinding flash pulled over as once again , aeri was thrust back ; body limp on the ground . gasps of air dragging through shakiness , clothing ripped from the split second of transforming . an inundated exhaustion from the overexertion of such actions transpired to the shell of her being . ❛ —- jia ? ❜ vision hazy , memories blurred from what had happened mere moments before . sweat slick like a second skin . ❛ are you .. hurt ? ❜

 feeling  of  anxiety  starts  to  pool  in  his  stomach  when  she  wanted  to  ask  something,  that  was  just  a  genuine  and  normal  reaction  whenever  someone  wants  to  ask  something.  he  could  feel  his  heart  skip  some  extra  beats  before  he  answers.  ❛  yeah  ?  what  is  it  ?  ❜  he  thought  it  was  gonna  be  something  more  scarier  than  that,  suddenly  snorting  out.  ❛  because  you  were  the  first  person  i  thought  of  when  it  came  to  this  ?  did  you  really  wanna  go  on  that  study  date  ?  ❜  he  looks  down  at  her,  his  eyes  meeting  with  hers.  

༊⋆｡˚                       noted the look on his face —- he seemed panicked but when she did ask what she wanted to , it vanished ? curiosity piqued as she raised a brow and folded her arms over her chest . staring back up at him , ❛ i wouldn’t have been opposed —- ❜ but a t t e n t i o n was suddenly off of that . one step closer as she tried to figure out why on earth he had a moment of jitters ?! ❛ you’re being suspicious . what's with the deer caught in headlights look ? ❜ had known him for a while now , could recognise each micro expression . analysing body language as the cogs began to turn in her mind . ❛ actually , come to think of it .. where did you disappear to the other night after the party ? because it wasn’t home —- ❜

 side  eyeing  aeri  just  like  that  when  she  was  doubting  him,  she  wasn't  wrong  though  but  why  would  he  suddenly  be  spoiling  her  ?  even  he  didn't  know.  maybe  there  was  something  deep  down  he  hasn't  figured  out  yet,  maybe  there  was  something  about  her.  it  was  only  then  when  there  was  a  hand  slammed  to  his  forehead  that  he  pulls  himself  out  of  his  head.  ❛  why  would  i  be  ill  ?  i'm  just  being  nice,  i  can  just  get  myself  something  if  you  want  to  act  that  way  !  ❜

           "  fortnite  ?  what's  that  .  .  some  kind  of  game  ?  "  jia  tries  to  piece  it  together  from  context,  but  there's  no  time  for  a  full  conversation—  not  with  the  threats  still  looming.  ducking  behind  the  greenery,  she  peeks  through  the  leaves,  eyes  narrowing  as  the  group  of  men  draw  closer.  "  listen,  aeri  .  .  ssi  ?  "  her  voice  barely  above  a  whisper,  panic  not  quite  visible  on  her  face,  though  she  can  feel  it  churning  inside  her.  "  whatever  you  did  back  at  the  bar  ?  "  brows  lifting,  a  silent  acknowledgment  that  she  knows  aeri  is  different,  "  i  need  you  to  do  it  again.  "  this  time,  she  nods,  firm  and  certain.  "  even  better  if  you've  got  a  way  to  get  us  out  of  here.  those  guys  know  me,  and  if  we  let  them  catch  us,  they  won't  hesitate  to  make  sure  neither  of  us  walks  away.  "

༊⋆｡˚                       had to double take for a second —- she wasn’t .. s c a r e d ? gaze turned to her , desperately searching for any signs of unease but , she was certain . though , she’d never been able to control the fox fully . the vulpine creature tended to delve into complexities on its own accord . a terrifying feat being on edge constantly —- never knowing when it would pull from the depths within . strained whisper , panic ‘pon lineaments , ❛ i can’t control he —- it . ❜ perhaps she did favour it in some way . the bane of her life becoming a solidifying factor . knuckles turned white as she willed the demon but as gunshots fired , an overwhelming possession clawed inside and as quickly as the night changes , she was transformed ; a giant spectacle , ferocious and violent . those nine tails shielding friend as teeth barred toward foe . watched through crimson hazed vision the victims scramble . a severance betwixt two minds , a terrifying merge as she felt conscience encapsulated within canidae , but , had no control .

when arriving at the location, he realized it was an abandoned building. great– how was he supposed to find his target in such a wide space. “ come on, you’ve done similar things before– ” though neither came close to what he was supposed to do now. sneaking in carefully, he stood there for a brief moment, quiet, until he heard noises nearby. grappling gloves on, rope out of his pocket, he was getting closer to his target. his heart was beating like crazy but his steps were lighter than ever. with a swift movement, the rope was around the man’s neck, everest giving his all to pull on it. before he knew it, he was thrown over the man’s shoulders, grunting when his body hit the ground. “ who is this small fry here? trying to kill me, eh? ” the diabolic laughter gave him chills. “ come get me, kid. ” everest rolled away from the man when he attacked and got up, his stance changing to a defending one– he wasn’t in a position to attack because that man was surely not an easy target.

an ( audible ) gasp emanated from between pout which she was sure they’d have heard . while she cursed the vulpine for rearing its ugly head at the worst times , she was actively willing it to show face now . but the second those vile words slipped from the larger man’s mouth , she transformed full form . hadn’t done so in a very long time —- the demon encapsulating her human body , a possession she’d never truly understood . gone was hân minh bé , replaced was the hồ ly tinh . a cultivation of magic before claws swiped the creep , p r a c t i c a l l y ripping him to shreds in seconds . it was all it took —- bloodied body now limp before in a flash of an eye , she was back to herself . exertion taking it out of her ; hazy memories of what had just happened as she deafly glanced at the deceased and then him . ❛ u - uh , are you .. o —- kay ? ❜

Packing? "And leaving me with that... Thing?!" No. How is she supposed to pretend there's not a spider crawling somewhere, and in the middle of the night it would get into her mouth or ear. The mere thought of the scenario causes her to shudder. "Can we spray it with something?"

༊⋆｡˚                       oh , she could literally kiss her —- ❛ peppermint spray ! ❜ all it took was a refresh of her mind and the other was right ! ❛ they absolutely hate it but .. i think we should still run —- go get a coffee , play some arcades and leave it to stew in its own thoughts . think about what it did —- scaring us like that ! ❜

"Lunch...." Haewon was already thinking about where to do, thinking of a few places she frequented and about to suggest them when she stopped to realize they'd be a little out of Aeri's price range. She quickly changed her mind and urged the younger to go look at the purses the store attendant was offering out. "Go, go! Pick whichever ones you like -- and the shoes! Oh! The shoes--" Just as quickly as she'd appeared, Haewon was walking to the show rack and bringing back over three pairs in her hands, all heels with cute accented buckles across the top.
