A day late to post this but I think yesterday would be the day I would never forget as it marked a very special year for me! This year my birthday was extra special because it bumped into the day before Chinese New Year! I am very lucky this year to have both my birthday and Chinese New year celebrated at the same time! Usually we celebrate my birthday and Chinese New Year separately because Chinese New Year is usually in February! But this year by coincidence it landed the day after my birthday! Every year Chinese New Year is on a different date and month which is what I found out from mum! Thank you everyone for all the birthday presents and wishes! A day late to post this but had an early birthday celebration with some of my Georgian College friends! I realized that before COVID started or maybe a few years ago it was so much easier to get everyone together and now it's a lot difficult like everyone is all over the place, everyone's schedules are a lot busier, 1 person ignored my invitation (you know who you are). Didn't have time to post this on New Year's Eve so I will be posting this today on New Year's Day! To reflect on 2022 so many things has happened both happy and sad! Let's start off with sad first as happy is always save the best for last! What made me sad this year was I got hacked on my Instagram account and lost it just 2 days before my birthday! The feeling still feels like it was just yesterday that it happened! What makes me more sad was we lost a lot of good people from Stephen Twitch Boss (the DJ from The Ellen Degeneres Show), Leslie Jordan (from the TV show Call Me Kat), Robbie Coltrane (who plays Hagrid from Harry Potter), Angela Lansbury (from the movie Beauty And The Beast and TV show Murder, She Wrote), Olivia Newton-John (from the movie Grease), James Caan (who plays the father in Elf), Gilbert Gottfried (who plays Iago in Aladdin) to Queen Elizabeth. I still cannot believe that both she and Prince Philip are gone! And the happy things that happened in 2022 was I past my G road test on the 5th of April (sadly I'm still not allowed to be driving by myself) and had a family celebration, had lots of fun in the summer hanging out with friends and playing tennis, I enjoyed helping one of my neighbours watering their plants and garden while they were on holiday in Italy, watching Avatar: The Way Of Water with mum, celebrating early Christmas with friends and celebrating New Year's Eve with family (as we had to cancel our Family Christmas Party because of the bad weather). But looking forward to 2023 I found out that my birthday is the day before Chinese New Year so it's going to be exciting to celebrate both at the same time! And I want to continue to see if I could get back my old Instagram account because it has been bothering me for almost a year now! There are 2 birthdays that I want to celebrate today! A big Happy Birthday to my friend who I haven't seen since 23rd of October 2018! This afternoon watching the news I was hoping she would feel better soon and live up to 100 years old! But at 1:33 PM the news cut my TV show and said the queen has passed away, I was in shocked and I couldn't believe what I was hearing! It was so sudden and it's so sad, my eyes were about to start crying! Even though she was a queen she was like a grandma to me! Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth, you have lived a wonderful 96 years and you will be missed, wish you are still here with us, we will never forget you! Wish I had the chance to meet you........ The world doesn't feel right without you, it has only been a bit over a year since Prince Philip passed away and now you're gone! Very late to post this but remember how on the 17th of April my mum said when I wore my old black sunglasses how it looked like it was stuck on my cheeks and face and I got a new red sunglasses? Well unfortunately that red one made me felt uncomfortable when I wore it, so I had to return that one!
