L’homotritus, la Métabelle et le Cryptosidu, petite aventure détritique.

La manière dont nous nommons nos choses indique notre considération et le sens que nous leur donnons. Et renommer ces choses, c'est vouloir leur donner un sens nouveau. Ce travail de déconstruction de notre vocabulaire péjoratif lié au déchet permet de proposer de nouvelles bases de perception de cette entité. Par un détachement des préfixes et suffixes des radicaux, il est possible de remplacer un préfixe négatif par un préfixe mélioratif, ou bien un préfixe dont le sens est opposé. Ce premier exercice de vocabulaire se poursuit dans le développement des nouvelles actions, des nouveaux gestes, mais aussi des nouveaux lieux et des nouveaux objets qui en découlent. Ce travail permet un point de bascule de la théorie vers la pratique, en somme, de la volonté vers la mise en place concrète.

In my diploma thesis, I want to create a change in the perception of waste so it can be a part of an individual identity, a group identity or a territory identity. I want to show how responsible we are in the presence of waste in our environment. But we can act on it only if we act collectively, and this is an important part of my process.

For the concept image, I created a jewelry set which needs to be worn by three people. Our ornaments are objects we choose to wear because they represent us in a certain way, they are part of our identity. But waste also represents us and our habits, so how can this representation be a positive one ?
