Just a quick note about this chapter. I downloaded Sims Real Estate mod to use for this storyline and it was my first time using it. I had SO much fun with this! I am definitely keeping it to use for future sims moving house. I left a lot of the gameplay involved in so you can see what happens for those that are new to it like me.
THE MALONE SHORT STORY LEGACY PART 18
SATURDAY - DAY 28
Saoirse woke up with another sweet tooth craving. This baby was just making her crave cakes non stop. So she gave in to the craving and grabbed a cupcake, sneaking it outside to eat so Thorn didn't see and tease her about it. As she sat, she rubbed her stomach and imagined the chaos of running around after twin boys. Not much longer and that would be her reality! She was smiling, lost in her thoughts until something got her attention. She sniffed the air again - Eww! What was that awful smell? She looked over at her dog and sighed. He was filthy. Yet again. And looking at her with the most innocent look on his face as if he hadn't been rolling around in garbage. "Come on then you rascal. Another bath for you" She chuckled and walked him over to the dog wash.
(Napoleon is such a cutie-patooty even with his eyes crossed <3)
A few hours later it was time to go and check out potential houses. Unfortunately Thorn had to work, but he trusted Saoirse to choose something she liked. Their first stop was Innisgreen Manor. A house obviously situated in Innisgreen - but far on the other side of the kingdom away from the King and Queen's castle. It was beautiful outside and when Saoirse stepped inside it felt like home straight away. She just felt the most calm feeling wash over her. But, she didn't want to rush into anything so she asked how much the house was and then agreed to go look at the other two before making any decisions.
The next House was Bard Boulevard, also in innisgreen. It... looked a little overgrown outside, and small. But, she still had a look inside. But after looking inside she knew it was a definite no. Way too "Whimsical" for her taste.
The next house was Renaissance Road. It was in Bellacorde in Ondarion. She straight away disliked that there was no front or back yard and it seemed to be situated in the middle of the road. Still, she looked inside just so she didn't waste the Real Estate Agent's time completely bringing her there. She found a strange note on a side table, and there was a baby sleeping in the upstairs bedroom. Who just leaves their baby in a house while strangers are roaming around? She knew the owners were waiting outside but.. overall the house just gave her a creepy vibe. Even if the baby was super cute.
She told her realtor that she had fallen in love with the first house, Innisgreen Manor and would like to make an offer on it. So they headed back to Innisgreen Manor to talk with the Seller's agent and start negotiations.
Before she knew it she was the owner of Innisgreen Manor! She was so happy. It was the perfect house to raise their family. They would need to move out and rent out their old house or sell it, so there was still so much to do, but they were handed the keys immediately. Once Thorn finished work they headed back to Innisgreen Manor so Thorn could see the house. He also loved it! It had the perfect workshop area in the garage for him to work on his potions. They took a photo at their new front door to celebrate. A few hours later, after Thorn called some friend to help with moving they were all moved in.
(Things move fast in Sims world as you know - and once you get the house it instantly moves you in so just a heads up to put things in your inventory before going into negotiations otherwise you have to do what I did and travel back to the house to get your things) Their first visitor was Simran, who was so excited that her brother would be nearby. Even if she felt a bit awkward visiting them when everyone was still on bad terms with her parents. Thorn told her to "make herself at home" and so she did - immediately going to the bathroom to soak in the tub - as you do when you visit someone apparently - and then watching TV with Saoirse while Thorn went to walk Napoleon.
Speaking of Napoleon - Although Napoleon and Bubblegum liked each other, then had a bit of a rivalry going on to try and get their parents attention. They both started begging and whining Thorn to get attention from him. Thorn picked up Bubblegum and gave him a quick pat saying "Sorry Bubblegum I need to take Napoleon for a walk. I'll come back and give you play session with the wand when I get back" Napoleon barked with happiness as he was put on his leash and off they went. He had fun exploring the new neighbourhood and all its sights and smells.
They bumped into a very beautiful sim on their walk, said "Pardon me" and kept going. Thorn had an instant attraction, but his heart belonged to Saoirse always.
They spent the rest of the evening working in their new workspaces (after Saoirse took a little nap) And then fell asleep snuggled up blissfully in their new bedroom, Napoleon snoring away on the floor below them.
