“shit, take this, take this,” nora hisses, shoving the joint she’s holding into the hand of the person next to her and then stepping in front of them so that the cop who’d just materialized out of nowhere can’t see it. “yes, it does smell like marijuana,” she agrees with his threatening observation, “and to tell you the truth, i’ve been suspecting that group over there all night.” she points to a nerdy-looking bunch and after a long moment the cop snorts, rolls his eyes, and then (miraculously) moves on. letting out a breath of relief, nora turns a grin on her impromptu accomplice. “sorry,” she says, “had to be done. you want a hit?”

the day at the store had been painfully slow and sage was counting down the minutes until she was able to lock up and go home. there was about an hour left and with little to do they decided to dust around the shop a bit. their face quickly lit up as they noticed someone coming through the door, hoping for one last customer before closing. “please tell me you’re here to actually buy something!?” sage said with a smile as the other approached. “i haven’t seen you here in forever.” @charlestonstarters​

julian: i want you to know that i found an iron and was able to go to my work meeting without a wrinkled shirt. julian: do you know how embarrassing that’d be ? walking into a meeting with a ‘ walk in the club , sue everybody ‘ kind of vibe and then … i look like a rag doll from last tuesday . julian: but anyway , i’m on lunch right now so what’s up with you ? and also … soup or salad ? your answer says a lot about ya .

“Okay well I don’t really see how that’s important right now.” Landon barked back at his father on the other end of the phone. “I have class tomorrow, I can’t just rearrange my entire day for you.” He hung up the phone with a sigh and looked up at whoever was standing in front of him on the sidewalk outside the little deli he was currently blocking the entrance to. “Oh shit, I’m sorry, I’m in your way. Here, let me get the door.” Even when he was reeling from a berating from his father, Landon was always taught to be polite and to keep his own feelings to himself. “Sorry you had to hear that, my dad’s uh…well, he’s very particular.”
