Early this morning The Pipsqueakery took in two rabbits via our partner rescue Dolly’s Dream House. These two bunnies survived a deadly house fire a little over a day ago and have been trapped under the rubble for nearly 24 hours. A burning wall fell on their cage and pinned Mama in which is why she’s the most burned. Our friends felt that their best chance at survival is at The Pipsqueakery, as we have an in house veterinarian and extensive experience with surviving house fire bunnies.

These 2 bunnies, a mom and her 10 month old baby, are burned, and are have difficulty breathing due to smoke inhalation. They’re going to need a lot of care. This is a very special case where if these rabbits can be brought back to full health we would love to reunite them with their owners eventually. That’s rarely an option at The Pipsqueakery but we would like it to be here.
