Pretty much all of the canons are open and we really want this RP to work. My co-admin is the biggest sweetheart in the world and the best plotter ever. You guys are very lucky she decided to join my team!

Remember in First Date right after they show Maya and Josh talking together and the scene changes and they show Riley and Lucas sitting together? Riley looked at him and said “Lucas?” and Lucas glanced in her way and then proceeded to look at Maya and Josh, you can see him thinking something, he even sighs, then goes back to Riley and tells her “Go over there, Riley. Be with your best friend”. 

Why? Simple, Lucas knows that Maya is Riley’s first priority, even on their first date. Maya is important to Riley and he understands that. He always has. He lets Riley go to be with Maya, he sacrificed something major for Maya, because of Riley and because of him too, Maya is his friend, he cares about her.

And what happened next? Maya knew what Lucas just did, she wanted to do something to thank him for that, so she makes Riley fall into his lap once again, in exactly the same way. And is during this whole process, that Riley knows that Lucas let her prioritize what is important, and is her trust in him that allows her to be brave enough to give him a small, simple kiss; because he earned it. It’s brave and wonderful and quirky.
