The fact that Sonic has only known Shadow for about a day (in the movie) and they ended up trusting each other in the end.

They should have cut it on those words to keep others questioning…

I redrew this scene because it makes my cry every time 😭😭. It’s amazing how their emotions are portrayed in the movie, there was fear, pain, anger, defeat, disgust and disappointment etched in Shadow’s face all at once (Panel 5) and Sonic was just blinded by unadulterated rage because it consumed him after his loved ones were hurt. I know the hedgehogs have a mentality of teenagers, they don’t usually control their actions but its a perfect example for the audience (majority of kids who watched the movie) because the hidden motives in the movie were easy to comprehend.

I know I get over sentimental over sad stuff but I can’t help but notice the body language of Sonic and Shadow (Shadow was holding his hand’s over Sonic’s as if it was a silent plea to stop despite asking him to finish him bc it hurt too much to bear. And Sonic fighting with his dual self for true nature to never hurt anyone and help them in need even though his fist itched to hit him again). I tried my best to picture their emotions it on paper in a way words will never describe
