“so, you’re stefan’s daughter?”  elena was waiting for stefan to come back from upstairs, and had wandered into his kitchen.  “i’m surprised i’ve never met you before.” she’d been to stefan’s regularly since she’d started working at the clinic, to deliver him blood bags, so that he wouldn’t have to hunt.  “i’m elena by the way.” she held out her hand toward luna, a smile in place on her lips. Â

she’d had over a thousand years to lose this quirk, to find a way to work through things and yet siobhan had never even wanted to try. she wasn’t hurting anyone and as long as that remained she would be okay. “well i don’t want salt but if you really do i can ask nicely for some more.” though she knew that people might be annoyed at her for it. “do you need some salt, brother?”
--
mack rolled his eyes at her, shaking his head.  “i don’t need any salt. i prefer pepper, actually.” truth be told, they probably didn’t have the seasoning that he actually wanted for his fries.  “i’ll just use pepper and ketchup.” he told her, brushing some of the salt from the table, into his hand, and depositing it into his empty beer bottle.  “what have you even been up to lately, it seems like it’s been weeks since we talked.”
“A…ripper,” she repeated the words, her voice very unsure as they left her lips. “I don’t know whether to feel comforted or concerned that I’m not the only person that gruesomely…” she shook her head, realizing that he said runs in the blood. “Were you a ripper too? So I don’t have to murder anyone? Eventually I’ll learn and this will be under control?” She sounded so hopeful, almost as if she could live a manageable life. Except that she remembered that she was on an island and her old life was as good as gone now. “Everything was happening so fast, but I don’t think he was in his right frame of mind, but then again I don’t know what his frame of mind actually is since I don’t know him. Just from the bits of conversation that was happening surrounding my near imminent death. Don’t worry though he let me go.” She shook her head when he apologized. “I know. You tried, you gave it a very valiant effort, but I’m starting to think that ending up here,” she gestured between the two of them to mean vampirism, “is an inevitability as a Salvatore.” She bit the inside of her cheek before she admitted, “Now that I’m here, on this strange island. I feel like it’s only appropriate to be Sarah Salvatore, since Sarah Nelson died. If that’s okay? And maybe I could learn more about you? And the Salvatores? And Damon?”Â
“Oh? So you have a connection, and here I’ve been leaving severed limbs in dumpsters in hopes that it doesn’t get traced back to me. Because I don’t know how to hide a body. I have so much to learn from you.”Â
--
“i’m still a ripper.” he told her, “its kind of like being an alcoholic, and i’ll be in recovery for as long as i’m walking the earth.” a pause for a moment, as he thought about the explaination that he was giving her.  “it really only takes one slip up to bring us right back to it.” he really hated to explain it to her that way, but that happened to be the gist of their problem.  “i’ll help you though. i’ve been brought out of my ripper phases more than once, and even if it is a hard journey, it’s much easier when you have someone beside you, who believes that you can do it.”
when she mentioned that she’d started using his last time, he gave her a smile, “your father would be glad, i think.” he stopped for a second, before he continued.  “he may not have wanted you to be a vampire, but i think that he’d be glad to know that you’re okay, and most definitely proud of all that you had accomplished, before coming to this place.” a dry laugh left his lips, “i’ll introduce you to elena. she’ll hook us up with blood bags for you, until you learn moderation.”
(¸.• ♛ → alright, maybe he was feeling something and maybe it was time to just tell the truth, hopefully he was going to believe her. a sigh escaped from her lips with her gaze now on the other one, nodding at what he said. “yeah, okay…i will tell you but you need to just listen.” she really wanted vincent to remember her because she was starting to feel really alone in this place and it truly sucks not having her friends here.
“i did know you.” the brunette commented with her gaze on the other one. “we were from new orleans, you were part of the coven there and we were friends.” that’s a very short explanation but their lifes were complicated to just explain all of it. “this town does this…some people just forget some things…”
--
“new orleans?” he’d waited till she was finished, before he spoke, but new orleans wasn’t even a place that he’d ever heard of.  “i don’t....” a deep breath was taken, his mouth fixing in a straight line as he contemplated what the younger witch had said.  “i was right though, we did know each other. i can’t believe that i would forget a whole other life, but truth be told, i don’t remember anything that happened before six years ago.”
thoughts ran through vincent’s head, as he wondered what else he had forgotten. what if he had an entire family out there somewhere that he didn’t remember. that would be something he couldn’t forgive himself for.  “i just.....” he trailed off, “we were really friends, and this was before we were on this island?”
To say Bonnie was surprised when she heard that familiar voice was an understatement. “Elena!” she jumped up and dropped the book out of excitement. “Oh I think I have an idea.” She grinned, but that grin faded when she heard her friend’s next words.
“What do you mean, a new daylight ring?” Elena had gone back to being human, right? At least…in Mystic Falls she did. “Elena…Please, don’t tell me– you’re a vampire again?”
--
elena gave bonnie a sad smile.  “i don’t know how i’m a vampire again, but i definitely am.” she really didn’t like it much, but at this point, there wasn’t anything that she could do about not being one.  “i was an old woman, died holding hands with my children and grandchildren, bon.” she paused, taking a deep breath before she spoke again.  “next thing i knew, i was waking up here on this island, young again.... and a vampire.”
shoulders pulled up in a quick shrug.  “i’ve been taking the later shifts at the clinic, so i don’t have to be out during the day, but once i heard this shop made daylight rings, i decided i needed to check it out.”

(¸.• ♛ → “i can only imagine.” the blonde commented, not really wanting to bother much stefan with all this information, she can understand this can be too much to process for him. she wonders the same thing because she would love to have the stefan she married here with her, she missed him a lot and she was so happy that he was alive here.
this time the blonde just squeezed gently his hand and nodded. “of course, anything you need.” because she really would like to just share everything they have lived together, even the bad things but he had the right to remember. “i didn’t offer before because i really didn’t want to overwhelm you.” the girl began saying. “there are amazing things, stefan, but you also need to know that not everything was amazing, for example…we didn’t really start our relationship like…in a good way.”Â
--
“i think at this point, i’m beyond being overwhelmed by anything.” he told her, a slow smile growing on his lips.  “i mean, i have dealt with a lot of surprises from unknown people since i’ve gotten to this island, and at least you’re someone that i trust.” never before could he have pictured himself winding up with caroline forbes, but with her sitting here in front of him, things were starting to come to light. caroline had changed a lot in the years that he’d known her, and obviously being a mother had changed her even further. Â
“i want to know everything though.” he spoke softly, “even the bad stuff. i can’t know or even begin to remember what it was that we had, if i don’t know the good and the bad.” he knew that she wouldn’t lie to him, and that’s why he would trust her with telling him everything.  “that’s exactly why i need to know everything, because then maybe i won’t make the same mistakes again.”
“Oh thank goodness. Sounded weird when I said the first time,” she tried to joke. “Is it always so…intense? The hunger? And when you do feed is it normal to feel like you’re insatiable to the point where the person might not exactly be whole when you’re done?” Sarah had not been so proud of that. She felt like it was overkill in a way that she couldn’t stop herself. That the person would be in pieces. “Thank you, I feel like I’m definitely going to need the help. I didn’t get to learn much about all of this before…” Sarah shook her head. His question was one that she couldn’t answer. It was one she didn’t truly know the answer to. “I’m afraid that’s the blur. The thing I don’t remember. Last thing I remember was being in a room with you and your brother, who was trying to kill me. You talked him down, he let me go. You said run and that’s where it ends for me. I don’t know if it was before I got here, or after I got here. I don’t know who or why or if they were trying to save me or what. When I woke up I knew what I was I just had little to nothing else to go on. Maybe I died, or well obviously I had to die. I just don’t know if it was there or here.”
She took the flask he was offering, tilting it to her lips. She took a generous gulp of the blood mixed liquid. “I like your style whiskey is a favorite of mine.” And she felt the craving calm. It didn’t quite subside, but it wasn’t all encompassing as she took another drink. “Of course something means someone, doesn’t it?” she asked knowingly.Â
--
when sarah mentioned the hunger, her words turned his stomach.  “you’re a ripper....” he’d been there, and he knew he could help her through this, if she wanted him to.  “it must be something that runs in our blood. i’ve been there too, and trust me when i say, its not an easy thing to get through, but with a little concentration, you can train yourself to stop before that happens.” he told her,  “wait....” he allowed himself a moment to go over in his mind what she’d just said, before he spoke again, “damon tried to kill you?” stefan had known that this would happen if damon ever met sarah, which is why he’d always tried to keep his brother, and vampires in general, away from zach’s daughter. stefan’s brows furrowed together, “i’m sorry sarah. i really never wanted this life for you.”
he chuckled when she asked about their meal being someone, and he shook his head.  “well, i have blood bags at my house.” he leaned in, going a little quieter, “i may have stolen them from the hospital, but don’t tell anyone, or i’ll lose my connection.”
Picking at the salt packets in her hand Siobhan was more than aware that she was making a mess. Some called it a nervous tick, one that she’d held since she had been young, always needing to be doing something with her hands even if it was for the short amount of time between ordering her burger and it actually arriving. Feeling someone’s eyes on her the blonde looked up from her absent playing and simply asked, “what?”
@havenstarters
mack watched his sister, watched as she destroyed the salt packets, as he’d seen her do so many times before. he just shook his head when she spoke, one brow raising in her direction.  “nothing.” he chuckled, gesturing toward the waiter who was approaching with their food.  “what salt are you going to put on your fries now that you’ve wasted all the packets, dear sister?”
Bonnie was sitting behind the counter at Witchipedia, looking through one of the books, while waiting for a customer. No one knew, because she would never admit it, but she was still looking for a spell. And not just any spell, but a spell that could get her back to Mystic Falls. Up until now, she didn’t have any luck yet; but Bonnie didn’t give up that fast.
She was so lost in her own world and the spells in the book that she didn’t hear the bell chime above the door, notifying that a customer had come in. She just stayed with her head in the book.
--
elena pulled open the door, taking a step inside and making sure the door was closed before she pulled down the hood on her jacket.  “bonnie?!” elena was elated to see her friend, and had to contain herself from running toward the counter to embrace her.  “you have no idea how good it is to see a familiar face.”
she reached the counter, her eyes still focused on bonnie’s face. she hated to ask this, especially when it was the first time she’d seen her friend in months.  “i need a new daylight ring, bon.” she pulled out her credit card, “and then maybe i can take you to dinner, and we can catch up?”
Vodka bottle in hand and a kind smile, Landon asks politely while shifting his stance to speak to the customers at Blue Lagoon, “Can I make anyone another drink?”
mack nodded, sliding his empty glass across the counter toward the bartender, “i’ll take a drink, but i definitely prefer scotch over vodka.” he gestured to the bottles behind the bar.  “if you keep my glass full, there’s a nice tip in it for you.”

“Back home,” Damon answered, like it was the most apparent thing in the world. “The only thing I’m trying to escape from is this island.” It was a lot different then trying to get away from a crazy ex girlfriend. When he got home, he hoped that ex girlfriend would be dealt with. “There’s something wrong with this place. Can’t you feel that?”
--
“i don’t feel anything.” vincent told him, shaking his head.  “but this place is my home. all of my memories are of this place, so i guess i wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.” shoulders pulled up in a quick shrug, “i know a lot of people who’ve tried to get off this island, and not one of them has managed. maybe its time to get used to being here.”
Sarah heard her name, which caused her to halt. It was…was it Stefan. She focused on what he was telling her. Deep breaths, focused on his voice, and the hope that she would get through it. She truly hoped she would. It wasn’t as though she could retrace her steps back. Her life had ended and what was left was this existence that she had now. In a strange place, but how was he here? This wasn’t Mystic Falls. She turned around slowly, feeling the hunger subside.Â
“S-Stefan? You’re here?” she asked, confusion coloring her tone. “Or I guess should I call you Uncle Stefan?” she asked, trying to focus on something other than how raw her throat felt, craving blood. “I don’t know how I’m going to get through this, truly. I’m always hungry and it’s disappointing that cheeseburgers won’t satisfy that craving.” Sarah wanted to word vomit, to tell him that she hurt people, that she didn’t stop until they were ripped apart in the most violent of ways, and that she was afraid to feed because it always happened. But she was also slightly ashamed of what she was. She remembered choosing the human life when she spoke with Enzo last. She remembered wanting to be Sarah Nelson. But Sarah Nelson was gone and this person was in her place.Â
--
“you don’t have to call me uncle stefan.” he told her, finally taking a step closer to her.  “i’ve been there, sarah.” a tight lipped smile made it’s way to his lips, “every vampire has had to deal with the hunger and the cravings.” he reached out, resting a hand on her shoulder, “i’ll help you get through, i’ll help you with whatever you need, but can you tell me something?” he asked, his brows furrowing together. “who did this to you? who turned you?”
he pulled a small flask from his pocket, passing it over to her.  “there’s blood mixed with whiskey in here. that should help with your hunger, at least until we can find you something better to eat.”
(¸.• â™› → “i mean, technically…” she muttered, it was strange to tell him this when he lived it but well, he just didn’t remember. “i met her not in a good time, it’s a long story but let’s see we are in good terms now, she is a heretic that means a vampire and witch at the same time just because she was from the gemini coven.” she was trying to explain the best she can. “yes with ric. he fell in love with a witch from the gemini coven but just in their wedding day something happened and her pyscho brother killed her so that coven that was there just decided to put them here…they needed a vampire so those babies weren’t going to die.” that was just a very short version of the events that happened that night.Â
“not really, i haven’t found them but hopefully they are safe, if they are back in mystic falls i know they are, ric is with them.” she was sure of it because alaric was always protective them no matter what. “it’s not your fault, stefan, it’s okay.” it does make her sad but the last thing she wanted was for stefan to apologize for this. now a soft smile was on her lips when he asked that. “yes, was perfect, magical.” that ceremony, everything was perfect until the end, of course, it was the best day but also a horrible one for what happened there.Â
--
stefan listened as she spoke, waiting for her to be completely finished answering all of his questions, before he opened his mouth again.  “this is all so bizarre to me,” he told her finally, after he’d allowed himself a few moments to just contemplate everything that she’d said. part of him was glad that valerie hadn’t perished all those years ago, and that he could confidently tell his daughter that her mother was still alive.  “i wonder if there’s a way that i can remember all of what you’re talking about.” he pressed a finger to his lips. some part of him had lived this whole life, had been all of these things to all of these people, so somewhere in his mind, those memories had to be able to be reached.
“would you be willing to try helping me remember?” he wasn’t sure what they could do, but he had to at least try, right?  “i think i want to try. and i’m willing to do whatever it takes to figure it all out.”
“when you lose someone it stays with you, always reminding you of how easy it is to get hurt.”
elena gilbert, (nina dobrev) was finally spotted on the island, we hear she is 89 and can be adventurous but can also be indecisive. not to mention they are a vampire, from the the vampire diaries, and are a doctor at obsidian cove clinic. Â
how long has your character been on the island? she’s been there for about a month
have they been effected by the trip? she’s kind of freaking out at the moment, because she was brought back as a vampire, and she isn’t sure how well she likes it.
what time was your character pulled from? elena is canon up to her death. she lived to be eighty nine years old.
what is the last thing they remember? elena remembers her entire life, up to her death, and isn’t sure why she isn’t dead now.
what are they doing since arriving on the island? she’s working as a doctor, and trying to find her friends.
how are they going to handle being stuck on obsidian cove? how she handles everything, by avoiding the issue until it becomes too much.
character headcanons
elena remembers her entire life. she lived to be an old woman, with grandchildren, and great grandchildren, dying only days after her husband. she somehow wound up on the island, back in her young vampire body, and she isn’t sure how to deal with that at the moment, so she just avoids having to, by filling her days with other things, while she steals blood bags from the clinic where she works.

For the most part, Sarah tried very hard not to give in to the overwhelming hunger that she often experienced. She tried to fill the space with food, real human food. Things she used to like, things that she used to indulge in. She never thought that she’d turn down a cheeseburger for that of blood. Â
She’d left the Pink Pony in a rush, hoping that fresh air would quell the veins that became more prominent under her eyes. Outside one of her hands caught the wall as she tried to breathe and not allow for the sights or sounds to hone in on blood rushing through veins inside. Sarah could sense a presence approaching, but she wasn’t paying attention to her other sense to even gauge who it might be. “You might want to walk away or take a step back because I am not feeling well,” she lied. Or maybe it was the truth, but a half truth.Â
@havenstartersÂ
the familiar face, he’d known it for a long time, had always tried to protect the girl that it belonged to, but if she was what he thought she was, he apparently hadn’t done a very good job of it. moving toward her, he reached out a hand to comfort her, only to be told he should back up. though he knew that she couldn’t hurt him, or at least he hoped she wouldn’t, he took a step away from her, hand dropping back to his side.  “sarah.” he spoke her name, hoping that it might help her come back to reality, to calm herself a little. he didn’t want to get close to her again, especially if it might make her more anxious, but he spoke to her in low tones, words he knew that only she could hear.
“come on sarah, take a deep breath.” words were murmured in her direction, as he leaned against the wall where he was standing, trying to get a better look at her face.  “listen to my voice, sarah. just listen. i promise that you’re going to be okay, you’re going to get through this.”
Black curls, hm. Â The Original Hybrid rubs his chin with his thumb, his blue eyes squinting as he tries to recall the familiar face. Where did I see him at?
His mouth opens agape after the familiar, curly-haired guy behind the bar slips.
A smirk twists his lips as he addresses the person sitting on a bar stool beside him. “Must they hire clumsy fools for their staff?”
mack turned to the man next to him at the bar, raising a brow, “he’s obviously a child.” the wolf muttered, “he looks like his feet are too big for his body still.” he gestured to landon, looking the phoenix up and down, before turning back to the original hybrid.  “he reminds me of my little brother when we were that age. always tripping over himself.”
a low chuckle left the lips of the werewolf, as he glanced over his shoulder toward the door, “or he was trying to hide from that girl who just walked in.” Â
