The Magician

Honest living. Steadfast sleepless nights. Loyalty woven into the core. He paces. Ticking clocks for people taken off alleys. Deadlines for deadlines for deadlines for deadlines. Where did they go?

He paces. Mistrusting glares as street is crossed. He paces. Changing the apple from the inside, he does not know the change is rot. He paces. Where did they go? He paces. Are they alive- will their body be in tact? He paces.

Ignorance ignored. Files to file. Lives to lose. He cannot save everyone broken, but he can find their bodies. Far from justice, far from moral. He paces. He paces. He paces. Sometimes he wants to go missing too. That way he’d get a fucking vacation.
