Yesterday evening we worked on this #chainmail holiday ornament live on #twitch; if you want one for yourself, you could win one in my monthly raffle! All you have to do is be a follower of my Twitch channel, accumulate 1000 channel points there, and then use them on an entry to the raffle. There's no maximum amount of entries you can redeem (as long as you have the channel points to use) and you need not be present to win. Of course, I also take commissions, so if you just wanted to buy one, you could do that too (an ornament of this size runs about $80.) As #pridemonth approaches, I wanted to show my support for the #lgbtq community (which as an #asexual I myself am a part of) by making Pride themed #chainmail key charms. Update on the #chainmail lanyard: It's well over 2 feet long, and very close to 3ft/1m. I want it to be that long so that I can manipulate the badge that the lanyard holds while still wearing it, so I can show it to security/vendors/etc at conventions without removing it. Hopefully it's strong enough to weather actual use; using 20ga aluminum is something that worries me slightly. Finally got around to taking a picture of one of my latest projects: a #chainmaille #throwing #disc made from gold colored Anodized Aluminum links. Each link is 18gauge wire with a 3/16" inner diameter, and the diameter of the disc itself is about 5 inches. This was made as a potential commission so the prospective client has first right of refusal, but my commissions are open if you want a disc of your own or another work in #chainmail. I decided to repurpose an old #stainlesssteel #chainmaille pouch into a #potscrubber last night. Felt good to finally work with handmade rings and steel again. This may be sent out as a potential commission, but if not, I'll likely list it on one of my storefronts. All rings were wound and cut by me; wire was provided by @theringlord as a 20 pound spool. The main body of the scrubber is European 4 in 1 with 16ga 1/4" rings, and the strap is made from Half Persian 4 in 1 with 16 gauge 5/16" rings. If anyone else wants one, I would sell these for about $50 or so. Just in time for #thanksgiving , I finished the #chainmaille #pumpkin #sculpture . The body of the pumpkin was made from Euro 4 in 1 with octagonal expansions and contractions and stuffed with #polyfil . The stem is Captive Inverted Round, with Euro 4 in 1 diamonds for leaves. It was a lot of fun to make; thank you to @theringlord for supplying the rings. And thank you to all of the #armoredbearbattalion for bearing with me as I made this. This weekend was spent doing two things: Sorting my #chainmaille rings into divided containers and working on a #chainmail color palette I can use to demonstrate the colors I can use for key charms and lanyards. To celebrate the hype we got at #TwitchCon and the creation of our new website (https://changelingchain.com) we'll be having a subathon on October 24th starting at 1pm US Central time. The starting point is four hours, with possible extension to 20.
